“Everything was as advertised and then some! Very clean, quiet and peaceful. I even bought some binoculars while I was in town just so I could soak in even more of the gorgeous view! Would have loved to have spent more time here but something tells me we'll be back.”

“It was an adventure crossing the creek after a lot of rain, but we made it! There was plenty of room for our family of 11. The host was very attentive to our needs. Not every family member was prepared for the rusticness, but we had a great time nonetheless. The area is just gorgeous!”

“The house was great. Very clean. Spacious. Had everything you could need. No TVs in the bedrooms which we were disappointed about. Check in was not a good process. App said the code to enter was last 4 digits of my number and it wasn't. I called and messaged the lady on Vrbo and no response. The lady next door had noticed we were trying to get in and said she was now managing the property and gave me the code and we got in. Later that code didnt work and it somehow was now switched to my last 4……

“The property was clean and it was a comfortable place to spend a few nights with my family. Appreciate all the items provided in the cabin. The owner is very responsive and responsible. Interacting with him is pleasant. Will definitely recommend to others. Thank you!”

“Would love to give a 5 star but have to be honest in my review. The property at the time of my visit had a huge ant problem in both the bathroom and kitchen. I pointed this out directly on the “owners” feedback page but no response or acknowledgment. Other than that it’s a great convenient location. As per other reviews the walls are thin here so no matter how quiet people try to be upstairs you will hear everything. Just hope you and the other occupants are on the same schedule. ”

“No issues with the property at all. The area it’s in appears to be undergoing a renewal of sorts. Looks like it will be nicer in the future or at least the potential is there. ”

“The location was in a perfect spot and it was easy to get in and out of the neighborhood to go to all the places that we wanted to visit. The beds, pillows, and couches were very comfortable. We only had one significant complaint - it was unbearably hot upstairs. We couldn't get the thermostat downstairs under 80 degrees, and upstairs felt even hotter. I see comments from other reviews that we should understand "historic home" to mean that the temperature cannot really be controlled, which is……

“Only problem was the front step going up to the porch. Very hazardous high step and on a slope, needs additional base step.”

“We enjoyed our stay here. We had participated in the homeschool conference at the Ark Encounter so it was nice staying close by. The room was very spacious and had everything we needed. Having a kitchen was nice too. I loved the keyless entry! Communication with the host was easy and pleasant. I would definitely recommend this place. ”

Her home is fully equipped with everything a family needs - we were especially impressed by all of the things she had for kids! (Pack n play, toys, outside activities, games, etc.).
