"We LOVED this stay. The condo is very updated, per the photos. Roomy and comfortable. Great views from top floor of the Village in the main building (High Sierra Lodge) overlooking the pool area. Check in was a breeze and the owner is very responsive. Short walk to the gondola to go up to Canyon Lodge base, and there is a ski locker in the garage of the building to store everything. If you want to ski or just experience Mammoth this is a fabulous place to stay. We will be back!"

"The property was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. Located in a quieter neighborhood, we were able to walk out and play with the snow. Would definitely rent from again!"
"We find this apartment very homy, very well furnished with kitchen and various household appliances. It is excellently located off a main-street and is a few minutes from grocery store, gas station, and restaurants. It makes an idea location for your visit to the area or anywhere along Hwy 395. Parking space is right outside the unit. will definitely stay at this place the next time we visit this area again."

"We enjoyed our stay. Very easy check-in/check-out process with coded front door. The king beds in the main bedrooms were very comfortable and the sheets were very soft (we all noticed the softness of the sheets). It's located within an easy walk to the Village, and was very clean. Highly recommend."

"The property is very convenient for the Schoolyard Express lift. Easy walk, even carrying our boards. Everything about the property was nice. Sort of pricey, but the easy walk eliminated any need for a trolley, so I guess that is what you are paying for. Overall, a great trip and nice rental experience."
"Awesome place and location. Had a few board games which we appreciated. Nice and spacious and comfortable. Great master bathroom. Would love to have more spices and seasonings to help with indoor cooking. Would stay again for sure."
"Lovely property. Was able to be dropped off and handle all my needs at this location. Great suite, general store nearby, plenty of restaurants, shopping, and sight seeing. "

"Lovely cozy hotel with a nice cabin feel. The lake next to it is just amazing and they have plenty of parking by the door.
Love the hotel decor and the bear pattern blankets etc., the staff are also lovely!
Only thing I missed was last time I stayed there was complimentary breakfast which we really enjoyed. "
A verified traveler stayed at Tamarack Lodge and Resort
"We saw this hotel had a rating in the 7s, but our (king) bed was very comfortable and the fireplace worked great. The front desk staff were helpful. If you’re expecting a resort upscale stay, this isn’t it, but we came for a hiking trip and every day when we stopped in for a refresh the room was very nicely cleaned. The furniture is very basic (the 2 chairs weren’t super comfortable but were fine, and the bed was extremely comfortable- I chose to sit on the bed to eat my “grab n go” breakfast).
The lodge seems to be an older building which has been re-done (again, not fancy or impressive), but it’s clean and comfortable. It’s also right across from some of the ski lifts (canyon lodge?) and you can take the free gondola to “the village” (the local shopping/dining outdoor mall) which gives you a view of the valley (only runs in the mornings). So if you want fancy, this isn’t for you, but if you just want a comfy bed, hot shower, view of the mtns and a place to pit-stop while enjoying nature, this place checks the boxes. 👍"
