The several small buildings that house the rooms are colourful and have nice landscaping. I had some concerns the local restaurant (Porkys?) would be a dive bar, but we actually shared a great dinner and breakfast by the water there, really liked it for our family’s food needs. "Room 501 - Canal side. Clean and comfortable property. While the building I was in is dated, the room was very clean, good size and the bed was comfortable. A rarity in US hotels, the air conditioner was actually quiet and worked perfectly. The only not great thing was the door to the outside - did not fit the frame well resulting in the deadbolt not working and the main door lock is a simple door knob with a push in lock.
