It was ok. Not sure if i would come back here It felt like people were not happy working at this hotel witness a few employees arguing. That made it quiet uncomfortable. The service on some of the restaurants was not that great could feel the tension between employees.

Thorougly disappointed with my experience. Upon arrival, we were slapped with an unexpected fee due to a supposed error by Expedia, who mistakenly listed my child's age. Despite providing evidence from the Riu website and even having an Expedia agent speak directly with the front desk staff, it took a painstaking 2 hours to resolve the issue. We were even offered the option to change resorts by Expedia, which in hindsight, we should have taken. During our ordeal at Hotel Rui Emerald Bay Resort, the entire front desk staff seemed to be engaged in secretive conversations amongst themselves, which only added to the frustration of our experience. To add insult to injury, we were forced to fork over an extra $500 USD for the so-called "incorrect" age discrepancy. And unfortunately, the nightmare didn't end there. The rooms were in dire need of renovation, especially the bathrooms, and to top it off, we were greeted by unwelcome bed bugs during our stay. The bedding and pillows were incredibly uncomfortable, making for restless nights. As for the dining options, they were a dismal affair. The food was subpar, to say the least, prompting us to venture out into town for meals each day. The location of resort is also far from center of town.

Everything was good, food was like all other all inclusives, restaurants were more of a buffet but you dont need reservations so that was good. Tip, go to the furthest pool that has the bar. It has a lot less people. Same with the buffett, go to the furthest one it has less people and its newer. Same food as the main one. The only bad thing about it was check in. It took for ever to check in and i had already checked i online. There must've have been checking in a big bus at the same time as us. I wish they would've checked us in faster. Other than that everything was great. Keep in mind that the malecon is about 30 min away from the hotel.
