"The National Hotel is an excellent resort. The staff is kind and friendly. The rooms are nice and clean. The pools and beach are beautiful. The staff at the AquaBar Grill (Erik, Roberta, Jennifer) and the Breakfast staff (Yunior) are amazing. The pool attendants are also very kind and helpful (Angel and Jasmine). They have a DJ Friday and Saturday by the pool and by the bar in the lobby area. Great ambience! "

"Not only were the beds small (not double beds like advertised), one of them was broken. Never reached the front desk every time we tried to call down. "

"The place was clean and the property was maintained. The beds are hard and quite uncomfortable. By the time my husband, son and I left we had backaches from the bed after 4 nights sleeping on them. Overall it’s a good place and close to the keys with easy access to everything. Shopping is nearby and lots of fruit stands and plant nurserys in homestead. "
