Upon arrival at the property we found zero parking places. There was a U-Haul parked horizontal tanking up several spots, a truck with a loaded trailer parked similar and an area taped off with construction equipment. All till about 20 spaces taken. I saw vehicles that had jumped the curb and parked in the grass, vehicles parked along the pathways - all potential hazards. I went and asked about the situation at the front desk and was told by her that I could next door and park at the Burger King. That was not acceptable to me. I asked her about the vehicles that were not parked correctly and she said that she could not find their rooms. This is odd because she asked me about the year, make and model car that I was driving when I checked in. I assume she ask the same question to the others and wrote it on the reservation sheet.
I asked about a refund for our room but the suggestion of me remaining right in front of the entrance door was offered for parking. I wanted to make sure we would not be towed or in the way.
The room we stayed in was pleasant and very quiet. This was my first experience in not being able to park at a motel. It almost ruined our stay.
