Compass Cove is a decent area with lots of great pools, hot tubs, children’s play areas etc..we had a great experience with my wife and two children. One concern is that there is this firework going on after 10 pm which scared my two children especially the three old one. There should be a restriction on this since that time is where people want to sleep.and in my case my kids were scared and could not sleep until it stopped.

Pretty much good overall. The only thing we found is that this hotel has a weird policy for housekeeping, and we had to call multiple times to get new towels and our room cleaned (once for a 4-night stay)

If you drive a larger vehicle the parking garage is very small. Room service was poor, getting extra supplies was very hard. Long wait time for elevators. Hard time finding parking very low clearance. And when we checked out on 6/7/24 my husband got stuck in the elevator twice. The first time he was able to get the door open. The second time, he was not. He was stuck in it for over 45 minutes and required the fire department to come to get him out of the extremely hot elevator. Thank god he didn’t have out one year old with him.

First thing I wanted an ocean view room i was on the second floor room 250 which was right above the kids pool and other pools and hot tub area that was really loud from All the people.the room was in a corner jammed near the stair case the leaked water in the staircase OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE BUILDING,When i called down to the front desk and told them i wanted a Real OCEAN VIEW Room. They RESPONDED BY SAYING ,I SHOULD HAVE SAID OCEAN FRONT ROOM,😒 the room smelled like OLD MOP WATER,One of the beds in the room had soiled sheets and pillowcases.I HAD TO CALL FRONT DESK TO COME CHANGE THE BED SHEETS, TUB WAS DIRTY. SO I Had to buy bleach cleaner,dish liquid for THEIR DISHES,lysol disinfectant spray for that horrible smell in the room and air freshingner to constantly spray that smelly room.THAT ROOM WAS HORRIBLE, WITH A HORRIBLE VIEW,HORRIBLE MOP BUCKET SMELL,AND VERY LOUD BECAUSE I WAS DAMN NEAR SITTING ON TOP OF THE KIDS POOL,HOT TUB, AND OTHER POOLS AREA, I COULD BARELY SEE THE OCEAN AGAIN ON THE SECOND FLOOR AND OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE FUNKY BUILDING .

Had read many good and bad reviews but decided to take a chance because Ive been visiting Myrtle Beach over 30 years and it always seemed to be full capacity. It was wonderful. Even though it needs maintenance done, my stay was great. Knew it wasnt a 5 Star before I booked. But the price and location exceeded my needs
