We spent a night each at Marco Hilton on the way to and from a Memorial Day weekend in Key West.
The front desk service was excellent during our stay on Fri May 24-25. The resort was busy with people how ever I was able to easily get an hour of late checkout so that we could get ready for a long ride to the Keys.
However on the way back, for our stay on Mon May 27-28, while the resort was not busy at all, the front desk associate refused to grant us an extra hour at check out, claiming they were “very busy” on Tues the 28th and so would only give us an hour extension for a $50 fee. I spoke to 2 more people at the front desk and the best they could do for us is extra half an hour.
We spent well over $600 on room, fees and food for 1 night… I also used to be a Hilton Honors member years back when I traveled for work. Also, we spent a week here 2 years ago, and service was always excellent. This year it was NOT (I had to ask 3 times to get 30 min delayed check out and was not even asked how was our stay when checking out), and so this makes me really question if we will be back or if I will continue to recommend this resort to our friends in North East.
