Schreckliche Unterkunft
Als wir das Haus betraten, kam uns ein stechend unangenehmer Geruch entgegen. Das Zimmer konnte nicht gelüftet werden und es roch nach starkem chemischen Putzmittel. Jedes Mal, wenn ich im Bett lag, juckte es mich am ganzen Körper. Das Bad war dreckig und das Waschbecken wurde nach 5 Tagen das erste Mal geputzt. Der Müll ist fast über gelaufen und in der Dusche lagen alte Zahnbürsten. Im ganzen Bad hatte man ein richtiges Ekelgefühl und es kostete jedes Mal Überwindung. Ein Handtuch und eine Toilettenpapierrolle wurde für die ganze Woche bereitgestellt. Meine Freundin hatte erst garkein Handtuch und konnte dem Vermieter 2 Tage hinterherlaufen, in denen sie nicht duschen konnte. Als ich einmal das Toilettenpapier im Bad vergessen hatte, war es weg und ich habe vom Vermieter kein Neues bekommen. Seine Antwort war " Er wäre nicht im Haus und beschäftigt" Nachs ist es sehr laut und die Gäste nehmen kaum Rücksicht aufeinander. Mehrmals wurde der Schlaf nachts durcĥ heimkehrende, betrunkene Leute gestört, die um halb 4 noch die Dusxhe benutzen und Türen knallten. Wir haben die komplette Woche kaum geschlafen und morgens hatten wir jedes Mal die Augen geschwollen da die Luft stechend war und ein Fenster öffnen nicht möglich. Als wir uns die Küche ansehen wollten kamen uns 2 bellende Hunde entgegen, sodass wir schnell die Türe wieder geschlossen haben. Ich habe noch nie so eine schreckliche und dreckige Unterkunft betreten und der Vermieter ist nicht gewillt, Lösungen zu finden.

Great location for casual stay
I felt very lucky to find this affordable room for my work/play trip to NYC. It is located super conveniently to three different train lines and a whole host of bars, bodegas, and restaurants which for a 9-day stay, was a great perk. I also appreciated having access to a full kitchen with supplies to save a little from eating out constantly. Bed was comfortable and the place was pretty quiet, despite having a lot of guest rooms and folks coming and going. Some pitfalls: My room smelled of cigarette smoke, despite the no-smoking rules posted throughout. I kept my window open over my stay to try and air the scent out but it never really dissipated, so much so, my coworkers commented that my clothing smelled of cigarettes when we met up. The whole place is rather grimey. The kitchen is very dusty, including on the decorations that hang precariously over the stove as I tried to cook dinner. Bathrooms are clean but definitely worn in in a way only an older building can be. That being said, management was super responsive, price was right, and I would definitely recommend to others.
