The home needs some maintenance and should get rid of the carpet, but I can overlook that for the price and the area. It's only one home from the beach and you can hear the waves from the large patio. It is walking/biking distance to the pier, restaurants (Zabb Thai lunch special!), grocery store, donuts, coffee, etc. It's an easy bike ride to Huntington Beach. The area is pretty quiet. "We loved the delightful accommodations at Rory and Tim's 2-story place. It was just steps from the beach in Newport ! All of the beds were extremely comfortable and the house was very clean. Our group loved the well-appointed kitchens and outside patio for breakfast! I am hoping to talk my extended family into renting this very fun place for a vacation experience together someday soon . . . "

"Great place to stay! The house was perfect for our family of 5 and lived having the beach toys available for us. We would stay again. Parking in the area is tough and the garage would be very hard if we had a larger SUV. We rented a minivan and parking in the garage worked out good."

My wife and I have stayed several places before but none of them had air conditioning and for my stay in July I was happy to find the Tuscan style retreat did. The place was just as advertised, clean, and within walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants. The off street parking is a huge convenience as well.
