Horrendous rooms - smell of old, moldy locker rooms with stains on carpets. The furniture, appliances, decor, and utensils are at least 20 years old and poor condition. The staff for check in were great but the rest of the staff are careless, rude, and unhelpful. We called right away about the unlivable conditions of our room - seriously, so bad we couldn’t breath. A non-English speaking lady came and sprayed a green liquid from a hardware bottle that smelled like a strong bleach chemical. Our new room was no better except the smell was only an old moldy air conditioner - an improvement but not enough to make us consider our first room was a fluke. We stayed at this resort 5 times now. The last three experiences have gotten progressively worse. This was our final stay at Orange Lake. We highly recommend you stay somewhere else. Lastly, they pressure you into their time share. They say it only takes 90 minutes, but we did it three times and it takes 3-4 hours before you have to accuse them of holding you hostage before they let you go. Seriously, they send 4-5 closers to ultra-pressure you into buying the lowest time-share package.
Don’t stay here…don’t get mad if you decide not to listen to us.
