"It was our third trip to Mexico. We really like staying at adult-only, all-inclusive resorts. The staff always goes above and beyond to meet our expectations. However, the food still tastes like typical resort food in Mexico. Our room, number 1638, had a beautiful view of the ocean - it was a King ocean view suite. We were offered an upgrade, but we decided to keep our room because of the amazing view. The evening entertainment was enjoyable and not too loud, so it didn't disturb our relaxation...

"This place was a tropical paradise within a short walking distance to the beach and lively 5th Avenue. There are nightclubs very close by but we felt very safe. There are two locked gates to get through and one is a private gate for this villa alone. The noise was not bad at all mon-thurs night but did increase a bit on the weekend. Still not much of an issue unless you are a light sleeper you may want earplugs. 10/10 experience!"

"This property is AMAZING! The dining options are over the moon incredible; Thai, Italian, Spanish, Burgers, etc...you name it! The beaches, the pools, the spa ( where you can get massages, manicures and pedicures...AND get your workout in). "Mahekal is a beautiful resort. The lush foliage and palapa “cabins” make you feel like you’re a million miles away from everything, but it’s very convenient to great restaurants. It was peaceful and serene. The staff are all amazing, especially Meraz, Claudia and Jesus Brito in the Revive Spa. The hammocks in the balcony are just an added bonus. If looking for a party scene or on-property nightlife, this isn’t the place."
