The location was appealing and convenient. But all around would NOT recommend. To start, it’s already hard to find, then we were given the wrong code, so could not get into the building. Then the code given to us didn’t work for the room. After multiple calls we finally got into the room, and the room temperature control was broken. They moved us to another room. THEY GAVE SOMEONE ELSE THE CODE TO OUR ROOM. A couple just walks right into our room while we’re changing. Completely unsafe. Not only for ourselves but our belongings had we not been there. All around bad experience and customer service. Couldn’t even get in contact with anyone to cancel the rest of the trip and go elsewhere. Save your time and hassel, this was NOT worth it. And never worth risking your safety.

Would definitely stay here again. The apartment was very clean with lots of natural light. Laundromat very close by. Great location for shopping and restaurant options. Very walkable area. Most of all though, superb communication from the management. Call or email - they will respond quickly and are very helpful!

Great location in central downtown, with good P3 parking nearby. Is next door to a live music bar so can be noisy up to 10pm but ok after then. Didn't get any kind of room service until we asked after 5 days. I would chose this place again thought because it was comfortable, clean and safe.

The hotel is really apartments. It was clean and conveniently placed in downtown Reykjavik. However, even though on the third floor, Friday night had absolutely no sleep. The adjoining club was playing music until 6am. Ok if you're out and partying anyway but not if you aren't. Location was great. Bed comfy, had a fridge, Nespresso (which you can use as a kettle), hairdryer and plenty of towels, etc if required. Would have been nice to have more tea/coffee but you can use the Nespresso without pods and will have instant hit water so we just bought our own coffee and milk. If you have a family with young children be wary of the noise at the weekend. There was a bar outside our side and on Thursday night you could hear the chatter but wasn't too bad with the window shut. Key code on the doors is a bit fiddly but secure.

Best location ever. Right in the middle of the main street of the old town surrounded by lots of bars and restaurants. Fantastic 270 degree view from the wrap around balcony, views of the church tower and the see. Well worth paying the extra for

Iliked the room, and found the neighborhood very enjoyable in every way. My one problem was the ramp that joined one part of the building with another. I tripoed late in the evening because there was no warning or lighting of the ramp. I’m 80 and fell up at the ramp - the ramp blended too well with the carpeting. However, 2 hotel guests helped me up very sweetly and I was able to continue my visit.

Absolutely fantastic couldn't fault the place, great location, completely spotless, warm and cosy, great views even saw the northern lights from our balcony. Only down side was someone entered our room whilst we were inside using the codes which i guess never change

The hotel is located on the main shopping street. Super convenient. Easy to walk anywhere you want to check out. The room is nice and neat. The deco actually looks better than the photos. I would have given 5 stars if not for the noise we heard on the second (the last) night staying there. The band in the next pub was very loud. And it didn't stop playing until nearly 6 in the morning. Our room seems to be right on top of the pub without much sound proof at all. We didn't sleep well much.

The room was great, the location was great during the day. At night from where our room was located we heard live music & loud partying going on until 2-3 a.m. We were here on the weekend, so maybe it’s quieter during the week? That’s why location got 3 stars.

The good - there couldn’t be a better location. This is right in the center of the tourist area. Many shops, restaurants, and the famous “rainbow street”. Beds are comfortable, a nespresso maker with pods in the room. The bad - It was not made clear when I booked this hotel that it is fully self-serve. There is not a receptionist, or any staff there. I was emailed a code to get into the hotel and another code for the room. There was a group of elderly women who had been just sitting in the lobby for hours, unsure of what to do. The luggage storage is unsecured and unattended, which made me nervous. If you need two beds instead of one, email them ahead of time because you will not see an employee. There is no deadbolt or way to secure the room door from the inside. As two young women in a foreign country, this made us nervous. We pushed a chair against the door so at least we would wake up if someone entered. The very bad - there is a live band in the bar on floor one. Every night. Our room was on floor two, exactly above the band. They started playing at 8pm and stopped at exactly 11pm, and it sounded like they were playing inside of our room it was so loud. If you plan to be out and about until 11 or later, this isn’t a problem. However, if you are exhausted from a long flight and haven’t slept in over 24 hours, it will be torture. Even with ear plugs it was loud. The band was quite good though, and played a wide variety of songs.

The shower did not work. There is no one on-site. We called provided phone numbers and left a message. Never got a call back. Called emergency number . No answer. Kept up all night by band playing directly below us in bar. Loud people in the street all night Friday night. Not sure how this place got a 4 star rating

The hotel is right in the middle of all the best shopping and dining, which is awesome! Our room was clean and they did their best to clean it quickly for early access. The only negative feedback I have is that there is no one working the front desk -ever. There’s no direction on where to store your luggage or how you’ll know when your room is ready besides asking staff. In many cases, the code to the luggage storage was wrong. That can be a real let down when you arrive at 7:30 AM and have to wait for your room until 2:00 pm. Otherwise, I would recommend it.

Stay far away from this property! The room was not cleaned prior to check in. We arrived to a room that had garbage and linens from old tenants. Worst of all the room would not lock. We called the hotel staff multiple times, showed the problem to the staff were promised that the lock would be fixed the following day because no other rooms were available. No one ever arrived to fix the lock and when we called again we were told that nothing could be done about the lock and we could not be moved to a different room.
