This was a one night stay. We’ve stayed there before, and one of the reasons we keep coming back is mainly the cleanliness. Unfortunately, this time around it wasn’t so clean. The towels didn’t smell clean. One even had a red dot stain…ugh! The corners of the walls in the bedroom needed some cleaning. Staff was courteous, and had no problems w checking in or out. Will definitely be thinking twice about staying there next time we visit San Antonio.

The Crockett Hotel is in a great location right across from the Alamo and access to the river walk along with many shops and eateries nearby. The staff were nice and helpful. The only caution I have is that the shower water temperature in not well regulated, hot one minute and cold the next. The beautiful western decor is worth the stay. Lots of old west history can be found here.

Hotel is close to everything in a walking distance. However if you plan to hang out in the hotel room this isn’t the place for you. Phone would always ring busy when you try to call the front desk. The bed was uncomfortable to sleep in. And the tv kept having issues connecting to cable. We tried to stream to the chromecast since it looked like it was offered but we were told after that it would be a miracle if it would work and there’s nothing they can do to fix it.

We really enjoyed our stay! The historic Crockett Hotel really put us in a great frame of mind for our Alamo tour - which was practically next door! We loved being able to walk to anything we wanted to do in the downtown area with no problem. Our King bedroom was a little small, but was nicely refurbished. The staff was friendly and was more than helpful with any questions we had. We would stay there again!

I usually stay at the Menger but wanted to see what the Crockett was like. I very much liked the room and the proximity to the Alamo. Most of the staff were lovely. The front desk is lacking in staff and our initial check-in was less than friendly. I also would like other travelers to be aware of the late, 4:00, check-in. Our room was not available until nearly that time. I felt like much of my time was wasted as I had to return to receive my room key. The front desk clerk at that time was Jesse. He was lovely.

Building looks unique and is in a great condition. However my room was filled with mold. The fire shower system had mold on it as well as the ceiling. In the room there was a door to a closet with the hvac system. In the closet there was a ton of mold.

Our stay at the Crockett was everything we wanted and more! The location could not be beat, the tavern food was excellent, the staff were friendly and accommodating. I loved staying at a historic hotel rather than your run of the mill chain hotel that you can find anywhere. The rooms were comfortable, and everything we wanted was within walking distance. We will definitely return and highly recommend!

This historic hotel is well maintained. It is located across the street from the Alamo, and a block from the riverwalk. We enjoyed our stay and will stay there again.
