So this is my second time staying at a casino. But the smoke smell was ridiculous. Even in the rooms that have no smoking it was terrible. The rate was good and food was decent. Drinks are average prices. Staff was supper nice but just walking from the room to the car my clothes were trashed with the smell of smoke. Other casinos have smoke areas. This one has a non smoking area. It’s 2024. Come on.

There is no signage on how to get to the hotel check-in desk. There was only one dining option, but our waitress was wonderful. Located in a run-down part of town.

Flooded!! We werent able to stay!! We received notice from the Casino on sat april 13th that they were closed due to flooding. So we cancelled our reservation for sun and mon because they werent sure if they would be able to open sun. They called us at 9 pm sat night to say they would be open at 5 on sunday. We had already cancelled and now they wont give expedia approval to refund the fee for cancelling so late!! Beyond upset because we had to pay for 2 nights elsewhere and the 2 nights at the Casino were prepaid!! Dont think we will ever try to go there again or use Expedia. so 2 nights end up costing us $564!!!

I’m sorry this happened. We approved all refunds when we cancelled the rooms. Expedia was contacted again to refund your payment to them. Please let us know if you don’t get it.

Needs updates. Seems like the owners don't care. It became a place to sleep. No fridge, no microwave, small towels that were unraveling. Overpriced! Wont come back.

Enjoyed our stay. The only downfall was the handicap room I had for my mother wasn’t too accommodating for someone in a wheelchair. The bed was so high that it took two people to pick her up and put her up onto the bed

The building in general is getting Old & Run Down. The Casino Closed at, 1:00 or 2:00 AM & DID NOT REOPEN UNTILL 8:00AM. EVERY time you left the Casino floor to go to the Gift Store, they had to check your ID. Again. No regular maid Service, for 3 Days.

We would not return to this hotel, casino. The rooms do not have any conveniences for the consumer. No refrigerator, microwave or coffee pot in the room. The food court was the only place open to get anything to eat and the surrounding area is questionable with no other businesses. If you wanted a cup of coffee after 11:00 am you were out of luck. Not to mention they allow smoking. I have not seen an ashtray at a hotel in years. Smelly place.

Complete DUMP
Bedroom has no air circulation. You breathe in wet dirty air. The rooms are filthy. The bedding is atrocious and uncomfortable. The non-smoking rooms smell like smoke. Zero amenities are offered. The bathroom tile has mold growing behind it all around. I got a fever and very sick after staying here. You would be better off sleeping in your car. This place is a 1-2 star hotel.

Casino is fun, don’t stay there!!
Wheeling Island has changed for the worse. Casino will no longer allow you to take your drinks on the floor. What’s really the point of staying there if I can’t bring drinks from my room down. Rooms have no microwaves. The food at the food court, overcooked chicken tenders. This stay overall was pretty disappointing.

First of all, we stay at this casino at least once or twice a month and usually its fantastic. We get player rewards which include free nights. This particular time there were no perks and my 90 y/o mother really wanted to go this particulr time since it worked for everyones schedule. She loves to go for the great shopping in the area so we paid for our 2 nights. The first night we got maybe 3 hours sleep thanks to the loud drunks in the room next to us fighting and yelling. We thought they would eventually stop but no, after a couple hours later still going. I called front desk. Security promptly came and things settled down for a little bit..they started back up until one of them left...long story short, after security advised us to see if this bunch was staying the next night of our stay. Explained to Front desk who advised us they (the fighting drunks) WERE indeed staying another night and they (front desk) could move us. Well the drunks should have been the ones to move, or better yet, asked to leave the casinocompletely. Not us. This was the one & only time we've had an inconvenient experience. I dont know why they placed people in rooms next to each other. Clearly there were plenty of empty rooms that patrons could have been separated throughout the floors. Normally this is a very nice place to stay.

Clean hotel
Staff excellent. Very clean. Heat did not work but they replaced the unit that night. Commode flush was slow had to flush paper twice. Had a problem with elevator doors not opening when we reached the floor. Had to go back down and up again on a different one. Kind of scary.
