“I never do reviews, but was so impressed I am sharing. The property was exactly as pictured and described. Had booked a year in advance for my daughter’s graduation. It was a great place for a family gathering. We took advantage of kayaks, cornhole, and pool table. Everything was clean, grass mowed, and fire pit ready to go. “I can't say enough about our stay. They literally though of everything possible that one could need plus some. As soon as you walk in, it just feels like home. Kathie left fresh Pumpkin muffins on the table for us upon arrival. The property in itself is breathtaking. We spent hours on the porch off of the living room. “This property exceeded my expectations and was the perfect cottage for my family. It was immaculate and well-equipped. The natural surroundings were absolutely stunning. The muffins were scrumptious and much appreciated! Highly recommend! ”

“The home is on a finger of Claytor Lake, which was quiet and out of the wind. It is eclectic with kitchen on bottom level and living room area on the second level. You can access both levels independently from the driveway. Overall, comfortable for our needs given the weather wasn't great but we were in town for graduation.”

“Overall simple and clean cabin in the woods. Good communication from the host. The listing accurately depicts the cabin interior. The bed was comfortable, nice linens, and very clean. Like some others mentioned, it was a bit close to the neighbors so if you want total privacy its not the place for you. But we lucked out and the place was pretty empty. “No wifi and cell service is very spotty as one would expect. Not a criticism, just an observation. There are a good deal of steps to deal with so beware if you have mobility issues. The lake itself is a walk away, no direct views from the house. The rear deck needs some TLC.”

“It was amazing. If you are looking for a place with scenic views look no further! Absolutely stunning to walk around the deck and enjoy the blue ridge mountains. However, I would HIGHLY recommend a 4WD. Don’t make the mistake we made and think “oh well, I am a good driver it shouldn’t be an issue”… chances of someone getting up the last few hundred feet with a fully loaded front wheel drive are very slim!! Anyways, it’s great to disconnect while at the same time you have everything you need……

There are plenty of pots, pans, and cooking utensils. You have a full kitchen at your disposal with a good size dining table and there is also a washer/dryer if you need them.
