Alpine Cabin, Ashford

Beautiful cabin home. Perfect for family getaway. Enjoy what mother nature has to offer in this gorgeous cabin home that is nestled in the woods and just a short distance to Mt. Rainier. Great for hiking and getting away from the hustle and bustle of life. You will find peace and serenity mixed in with wildlife that equals a relaxing and peaceful stay at the cabin.

The space
This amazing log cabin home has two bedrooms and 2 baths, kitchen, dining room, living room, laundry area, and huge great room. It is a quarter mile from the entrance of Mount Rainier National Park.

The two bedrooms both have queen sized beds, and the master comes with a full bath. The second bathroom is shower only.

The great room is also a common area that has two queen beds in it and a bunk bed set with two twin beds. It is also a perfect place for family entertaining. With foosball table, 65" TV, DVD PLAYER, and games for both adults and children, it also has books for all ages and toys. A large comfy sectional.

There's a washer and dryer, microwave, refrigerator, fully stocked kitchen, stove, wood fireplace, and a fire pit in the backyard as well as a charcoal grill to BBQ.

There is hiking nearby all-around and a restaurant in walking distance. While enjoying the backyard, there's wildlife that you will see periodically. Families of deer perhaps, it's a great way to get back to nature.

The home was built by my grandparents in 1988. They lived there and also ran their business Alpine gallery out of the gallery side that is now the huge great room. My grandmother also painted her beautiful oil paintings, and my grandfather crafted many creative things over the years.

We would love to share our family home with you and yours to enjoy the beauty of the home and surroundings.
One night stay is available during the week. Feel free to book for one night stay during the week.

Gorgeous but needs some attention
Cons: - hair on sink, toilet and bath - THICK layer of dust on the mantle which is funny because there were cute Valentine's decorations put up there - Only 2 rolls of toilet paper in bathrooms, no extra so by the end of the stay we ran out - No replacement paper towel - Not nearly enough firewood and no instruction for the air vent on the fireplace (which could just be a me problem lol) - Only 1 extra garbage bag - Really odd mixture of cold and warm lighting Pros: - Massive place - Absolutely gorgeous house and decorations - Holiday specific decorations were really cute - Nice backyard But seriously extra supplies and a proper wipe down and this place would get a 5 star. Also I'm begging for the owners to change at least the main rooms lighting to warm lighting so it matches the other rooms and isn't so washed out

Perfect weekend getaway
My grandpa gifted us a weekend in a cabin for Christmas and this cabin could not have been more perfect! We were hoping there would be snow but we really enjoyed just relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet of this property. They have enough games and toys for all ages in the arcade room that we just spent time building puzzles and playing board games together! My 3 year old and 7 year old never got bored once! The host, Heidi, was so sweet and generous to us during our stay. We would absolutely recommend this cabin to anyone needing some tranquility and a break! We hope to go back again next year!

Christmas getaway
My husband and I, my son and daughter-in-law, and our three grandchildren stayed for our Christmas getaway! The bunk room was fabulous for the kiddos, and my son and daughter-in-law! We stayed at the other end of the house to give them privacy, and to get some much-needed rest when we had to! it was roomy, cozy, and a great deal of fun! It was all decorated for Christmas, and the kids loved that! It had two miniature Christmas trees, which was a great surprise! I did not have to set mine up after all! It took us The first day and night to figure out the heat. Was cold outside, and we had never used space heaters before, so we weren’t sure what we were doing… We were much too conservative with them, and we were rather chilly the first night. But we figured that out and we’re perfectly comfortable After that. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Log house on the highway
The house was clean but it sat right on the highway so there is no where to walk nearby. Also, even after turning on the electric heat, it was always cold, and in one bedroom particularly cold since it was not heated at all. The wood fireplace was not efficient and there was not enough wood for our stay.

Beautiful and Convenient Location
The cabin was beautiful and SO close to the entrance of Mt. Rainier. It was the perfect starting point for trips into the park. There were 6 of us, but could have added more easily. The history of the home is also very special. We loved it!

Mt Rainier visit
We stayed at the cabin for 2 nights in early September. The accommodations were perfect for the 4 of us and we really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay again! The host (Heidi) was very responsive to our few questions. There was a nice Himalayan restaurant next door which was perfect for dinner. We would definitely recommend this cabin for your family's/group trip to the Mt. Rainier National Park!

Our stay was perfect. The cabin was just what we hoped for! Beautiful Cabin made with huge logs. The home was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. It is a big cabin with lots of sleeping space and while there were only 4 of us for this trip we look forward to bringing our kids in the future. Another plus is being so close to the entrance of the park! We had an amazing time!

Great Location
We enjoyed the large log cabin. It was clean and functional. There is a nice grass area in the back which would be great for children. It was quiet and had lots of towels, soap etc. I would have liked a way to buy an additional 5 gallon jug of water. We were hiking and went through the water there. I personally did not like the taste of the iron in the tap water. The cabin met our needs and we enjoyed our stay.

Perfect Rainier Getaway
We wanted to spend a little more time near Rainier so we opted to book this cabin for 1 night. It is perfectly situated less than 1mi from the entrance and even walking distance to the wonderful Wildberry Cafe (featuring authentic Himalayan cuisine). The home is a quintessential log cabin with adorable local art and decor. There are games to play and a huge play room for watching movies or just hanging out. The back yard is open and quiet, and the wild life always nearby - my husband was surprised by a herd of elk when he took the dogs out in the morning. We would highly recommend this property and hope to stay here again someday soon.

Home had great location less than 1 mile from Mt. Rainier park entrance. Nice size home with spacious well stocked kitchen for a large group. Also very quiet for being on main road leading to park so sleep was no issue. The Great Room had a foosball table and large screen tv with massive couch so great gathering space. The owner Hiedi was very nice and responsive and provided us with some good tips for visiting Mt. Rainier which is an amazing park

Cozy Cabin
The cabin was very well located to get into Mt Rainier and about 30 min got you to quite a few small towns with stores and restaurants. There was a small issue with the lighting that occurred right before we checked in, but the host made sure to make it right by offering us a generous discount and ample head lamps while getting the issue resolved. Would definitely recommend you stay here!

Fun space with a great location.
The place was really cute! It is quite close to Mt Rainier so the traffic lines up right in front and people kept thinking it was a gift shop and trying to come in. But the main living space was huge and the backyard was nice and open. We did have a problem with the smart lock and the host did their best to help.
