This hotel was brand new but had a lot of quarks to work out. We rented an Ocean only view and received the pool view. The balcony was nice for morning coffee but being higher up and having the Ocean view was the room that I requested and reserved. The shuttle definitely had issues. It was almost like they had no one to drive the shuttle. The extra expense to rent a car was unfortunate. But we traveled to the other side of the Island of Maui with it and did our own tours instead of having a tour company take us to the waterfalls. The drains in the shower of the 4th floor were not working very well. I felt like this brand new building had some electrical and plumbing issues that I’m sure will be taken care of once they finish construction. The construction fences were still up so they definitely had more work to complete. The wrists bands to get in the room were very nice. My daughter worked well but mine wouldn’t work all the time. This place is a safe and warming hotel but every time I tried to used the business center or tried to get coffee and creamer I always struck out. Maybe, it was all bad timing on my part. I am sure this new place will get all the quirks out and run as smoothly as the old one.

Everything was great until checkout. The woman at the desk began checking me out and before completing began assisting someone else. Extremely unprofessional and rude. The other customer had to tell her to finish my transaction.

Hotel itself is great, clean room, comfortable bed, super soft towel, complimentary coffee and water everyday. Pool is clean and nice. You can get free fresh beach/ pool towels everyday but need to pay for beach chair even though we already pay the resort fees. The other only down side for us is we don’t have any view from our room ( facing the parking lot). Convenient location, walking distance to the beach, less 10 mins drive to abc store, foodland or Safeway, easy to get what we need. Very nice choice for the price.
