"Very quiet at the end of the road. The cockatoos were loud in the morning and just before they went to bed at night. A simple one kilometer walk to the fish and chip shop in Saint Mary's, that was good food too, especially the scalloped potatoes that are sliced thinly battered and then deep fried like a piece of fish. "The building is old, very close to neighboring building, limited electrical plugs, low water pressure, but as a place to just sleep, it’s fine. Interesting neighborhood, centrally located, easy walk to Philip park, gardens, museums, opera house, ferries, downtown. Perfect for me, I don’t spend much time in the room. Check in is by key box, there’s no front desk, I didn’t see any staff person for the four days I was there."

"Beautiful grounds, quiet and peaceful, quality accommodation, perfect for a getaway in a semi rural location. Limited phone/internet reception can be a bonus for some. Shops are a short drive away. Overall, our stay was a very restful, pleasant experience."

"This is the best-looking property on the street. The wrought iron railings on the first floor and second floor balcony are nicely done. Our second floor room had a large armoire, a small bathroom (that needs updating), a desk and chair, and a comfortable bed. The breakfast room was bright and cheery. The breakfast included a variety of cereals, breads, fresh fruit and coffee/tea. It’s in a great location, within walking distance of the Opera House and the wharf, and close to a tram station. "The property was handy to train station. Easy walk to Darling Harbour and shopping centre including QVB. We foundvthe room overall pretty clean exvept for mould in a bathroom cabinet. Friendly staff. The room had no tea towels."
