"It was the nicest and cleanest hotel I’ve been to in a while. The food was great accept for the fact that both times I’ve had breakfast downstairs and in room service, I ordered and was charged for cheese on my eggs only to not have it on there both times. "
"I was checked in by Treshur and I just want to share how wonderful she was! She was attentive, pleasant, and really helped to set the tone for my stay. The room was beautiful and tidy. The bed was extremely comfortable. Only point of improvement would be if the TVs allowed for you to connect to streaming services, such as Netflix. Otherwise I cannot wait until I can stay again!"
"My son and I visited Chicago and this was the first time we stayed at L7, which we understand recently went through a rebranding and renovation. The decor was very nice and the staff are great. The doorman was so personable and really took care of us. The hotel is within walking distance of many restaurants and shopping. We booked a river view room we loved the view. My son liked sitting in the window seat watching the activities below. The hotel restaurant is under construction, so there wasn’t...

"Upon entering the hotel, the staff was friendly and courteous. It smelled like they had just got done cleaning the place.
I stayed in an all-girls 4-bed dorm on the 4th floor. The room met the description. Overall, it was in good shape. Maybe a little chipped paint on the ceiling but I am not in Chicago to stare at the walls and ceiling all day.
The bedding and towels did not have any stains, and were obviously freshly laundered. There was room under the bunk for me to store my carry-on sized suitcase. Those with checked-bag sized suitcases might have some trouble finding an out of the way place to store their luggage.
The mattress is medium in firmness and more than comfortable. Curtains around the bed were clean and I felt I had enough privacy. The room, bed, and bathroom/shower were clean. It was comparable to some other 3-4 star hotels I have stayed in before.
The place overall was quiet. I couldn't hear anything from any neighbouring rooms or the lounge. The area itself is absolutely fantastic. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe getting to and from my hotel at night. The area is very busy with tourists and very well lit. Are there homeless people around? Yes, a few. Did I feel threatened? Not at all.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone who wants to stay in downtown Chicago on a budget. I would definitely consider staying here again. "
"The reception staff is very pleasant and ready to help you immediately upon arrival. If there is a free room, they will check you in immediately and will not keep you waiting. Everything is within walking distance. I highly recommend this hotel. It's a pity that there is no bottle of water in the rooms."
