“The property is under some renovations but it does not affect your stay. Absolutely beautiful views from our room. We took a water taxi from Portsmouth to Norfolk. “It is a one story small inn with probably < 20 rooms. But the room is super clean, looks very new, floors and furniture are all like new. Very well accommodating. 1 block (3-5min walk) to public beach, In a safe, shaded and quiet residential neighborhood. The receptionist is very nice. Parking is free. There are very good seafood restaurants within 3 miles. Also Harris Teeter within 10 min walk. Very nice place to stay.”

“This stay was during a conference that was being held at the hotel ALSO during graduation weekend and there was no restaurant available for lunch on Saturday which led to having to leave the property and fight grad traffic to find food. "I ordered online, it shows all rooms have kitchen, but the one I lived didn’t. There wasn’t even a sofa in the room! The guy who checked us in wasn’t very friendly, I mean cold. Maybe he was not happy that day. As a over two hundred dollar room (including tax), I feel a little bit disappointed! Only thing good is it’s very convenient to get to the beach. "
