“The house itself was more than adequate for our purposes. The location was awesome. There was one big surprise. That was the attached back apartment. The three small children were precious and the mom was very nice. It’s just that this was not mentioned. We will certainly consider staying there again.”

“We were visiting relatives in McKinney. House was clean. Short walk to historical downtown McKinney with lots of shops and restaurants. The hosts were responsive and accommodating. I would definitely stay again!”

“My family stayed at this house to attend a wedding nearby. The location was serene. The property itself is poorly maintained, with trash and tools strewn about the yard. The horses in adjacent pasture showed physical signs of neglect (one had a festering wound behind the ear, from a bridle that was ill fitted, put on wrong, and clearly left on the animal for far too long). The house itself was nice enough, and clean enough, but by no means spotless. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen……

“Not very large on the outside, this place is all you could want in a vacation home for two, plus fur babies. The outside space is narrow, but well appointed and private. No vistas to admire, but we were there for the April 2024 eclipse, so we saw all we wanted! Inside is comfy and attractive, with lots of considerate touches. A real kitchen. It's worth it!”

“The Tiny Texan was the perfect sanctuary on the outskirts of McKinney. The property is meticulous, the area so peaceful and the owners and neighbors very gracious. Can’t wait to go back!”

“There was no soap or shampoo in the shower to use. There was no hand soap at the bathroom sink or anywhere in the house. Was a beautiful place and would come back but i would bring my own shampoo and hand soap.”

“Everything was GREAT! Exactly how it was advertised. My group had a lot of fun staying here. I would definitely consider booking again in the future. My only complaint was that the hot tub took 24+ hours to reach its set temperature, and even then did not feel like it was to temp.”

“Comfortable, recently updated home and very responsive host. Having two bathrooms was a big plus (but watch out for that small step into one of them). Location very walkable to Finch Park and downtown McKinney. We really enjoyed our stay and first visit to McKinney (and the eclipse was amazing!) Thank you!”
