"This place is beautiful and has plenty of machines as far as slots go. They have all kinds of table games and the bar on the first floor has video poker. When gambling one can get certain free alcoholic beverages and most virgin drinks are free. If you eat at the Timberline Grill everything is ala carte as a heads up. Their food was great and the steak cut like butter. The hotel room was immaculate and the entire staff was accommodating and helpful. I could go in and on but I won’t. It’s a great place. Stay here. ♥️"

"Beautiful home, absolutely perfect for our family vacation. The ammenities - everything we needed and more! Nothing unthought of. The steam bath, the bath tub, the outside lounge chairs and fire pit, the beautiful kitchen, loved it all! We hiked the 1 mile loop around the lake every morning. Peaceful and the most beautiful views. Golden Canyon State Park located within 2 miles. Diana is the best host, provided us with essentials for an infant and checked on us a couple times to make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend and definitely hope to be back!"

"Meandering Moose stay was exquisite, clean & comfy. Enjoyed the daybed near a comfy couch in living area very much so that hubby n' I could both stretch out to watch TV together in evenings. Celia who lives upstairs is a fabulous host & can tell that she'd interact as much or little as you'd prefer. We found her wonderful and hung out a bit but you won't even know she's there if prefer it that way. Nearby town is charming, good food, quaint shops & many great places to gamble are not far away. I do need to say that being from Hawaii, we had problems with altitude adjustment but experiencing snow, critters & the beauty of CO made it worth seeing the beauty in this state. Highly recommend Celia's place & being hosts ourselves in Hi, this 5* review is deserved. Aloha. Jahnys n' Stan"

"Everything was superior "

"This was a beautiful cabin in the mountains near Blackhawk CO. It was conveniently located - a few short minutes to the Blackhawk casinos, 30 minutes to Golden, and 45 minutes to Denver. The owners were very responsive and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we might need. Check in and out was easy. Everything was high quality, including very comfortable beds. We had four feet of snow in a freak snow storm and the owners made sure we were OK and arranged plowing. I can't say enough about the service Brian and Teresa provided for our entire stay. They felt like friends."

"This mountain home was a lovely place for a reunion gathering with a couple of old friends. Weather in Denver was mild, but the snow began as soon as we got up the mountain, and it didn't stop all weekend! Absolutely beautiful, but we were happy to have an AWD rental vehicle. Pros: The hot tub is just as *amazing* as we'd hoped, and we stayed cozy with the wood stove while it snowed. Hosts had snow shovels, a couple of pairs of strap-on snow shoes, in addition to thoughtful amenities we couldn't use due to weather, like grilling equipment and a great dining setup on the deck (which has a nice view). No shortage of entertainment options for movies and music; solid WiFi (but no cell signal!). (Minor) Cons: While the upper level is gorgeous, with a ski lodge/log cabin vibe, the bedrooms are all in the basement, and it's cold down there. Each room has its own small, forced-air wall unit or baseboard radiator. These are mostly effective, but they make the air super dry and at least one was a little loud for sleeping (unless you're into white noise). Overall: Excellent, with a well-appointed kitchen. Be sure to buy the groceries you'll need while you're still near a town of decent size! (We paid $16 for a lb. of sugar and a bottle of honey at the convenience mart nearby!) This place is neat and comfortable; it's not "hotel clean," but it's as clean as the home of the last respectable family you stayed with. We loved our stay. Many thanks to the hosts for opening their home to us!"
