8.4/10 Very Good! (1,026 reviews)
The only complaint would be the extra fees for it being a historical site, other than that, it was great!

Really busy when a Cruise Ship is processing passengers. Large shopping venue on the riverfront where the cruise ships dock.

The French Quarter has great dining, music, and history. Talk to the locals for recommendations and go for more than just the Bourbon street experience. The French Market has some wonderful food vendors. We loved The food from From the Heart Cafe and the Olde Asbinthe House. Daisy Dukes is open 24 hours for late night diner food before turning in for the night. Visit Frenchman Street For the music.

DO NOT use the taxi service from the Port of New Orleans, and if you do be sure to get the price stipulated up front. We were refused the option to use Uber or Lyft by a uniformed officer, who said we had to walk to the Convention Center to use one of those services. The taxi that carried us charged me $40 to go to the French Quarter - less than 10 minutes away. The Uber fare would have been $8. I'll NEVER, EVER use a New Orleans taxi again.
