A tangle of twisting alleys, trendy restaurants, and inviting bars, Stare Mesto (Old Town) is the pulse of Bratislava. Architectural attractions of note include the Romanesque-Gothic St. Martin's Cathedral and Michael's Gate, the only preserved gate of the medieval city fortifications.
