Convenient to the airportPosted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: The patio on the lake.
Cons: Overall service
Location: Convenient to the airport and a short drive to downtown.
We actually booked another hotel and found this one while we were walking around the lake. We stopped to have dinner on their patio which was great. We had a wonderful waitress who provided us great service along with some wonderful recommendations for activities. It was fun to watch the float planes take off and land. They had live music on the evening. We ate there several times during our initial stay. We left town for other activities and upon our return decided to stay there. We were actually a little disappointed in the hotel itself. It was ok, but just not as nice as we expected. Other than the one waitress, our other servers were, again, ok, but not great.

Need to work in their food servicePosted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: Nice location.
Cons: Dining room food and service.
Ate dinner and breakfast in the dining room and each time had issues. Ordered blackened rib eye and they brought prime rib with gunky seasoning. Appetizer cam with dinner. Manager said the menu was wrong. They don't have ribeye steak! Of course waitress never told us. Breakfast brought wrong pancake order. Don't eat there.

Great hotel...everything you needPosted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Close to all
Cons: Give a little more TLC to the hallways and entryways of hotel rooms
Location: Super close to all, bike route, taxi planes, 5 minutes from Anchorage Airport
Super close to the airport, but you would never know. Great restaurants downstairs. Great place to have a little drink after a day of sightseeing. Bike route right behind the hotel that takes you on a loop/return to downtown anchorage. The staff were super friendly. Hotel needs a little TLC, but was perfect for us. Great Alaskan decor!

Don't judge a book by its coverPosted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: Close to the airport, a shuttle pick you up & delivers to the airport. There is a shuttle to take you into Anchorage.
Cons: When the new sidewalk is installed the entrance should be a lot better.
Our first look at this hotel made us a bit apprehensive about staying here. They are renovating the front sidewalk and we went in a side entrance. The carpet was pretty worn and we went down a corridor to get to the front desk. This is billed as a 3 star hotel and it felt like it UNTIL we met the staff. What a friendly group of people! Warm & welcoming! I can't say enough good things about Mike, our shuttle driver. We arrived after midnight & he was willing to take us to a nearby restaurant for something to eat since the hotel restaurant wan't open. Then he gave us his phone # to call so he could bring us back to the hotel. At midnight 2 "mature" women were just not up to walking a few blocks to the restaurant. The front desk clerks helped us to navigate our way down town so we could see the city. There are several cabs that sit outside awaiting your beck & call. The room is a pretty standard "plain Jane," but clean and well kept. The concierge was also very helpful and recommended several places to eat. Our stay was only overnight until we could get a shuttle to our cruise ship, but we thought this was a good place to stay.

Close to airport BUT that's it.Posted Jun 18, 2014
Hot room!! For paying over 350.00 a night I expected a cold room. They had a window unit in our room that blew air but not cold air. The room was out dated. Elevators door got stuck basically every time you used them. The only plus was Lake hood where the boys watched the airplanes land.

Save money stay at a chainPosted Jun 18, 2014
Waited 50 minutes for shuttle at 1am, while shuttle guy told me I was lying. Our room for $280 looked at a wall. Staff is terrible. We should have paid less and went to a chain.

I feel it was a little over priced for the quality if the room. The day time staff was phenomenal, making up for the inexperienced night staff. Great food at the restaurant, and the bar was exceptional as well.

The First LeaguePosted Jun 14, 2014
Pros: Everything was exactly as I expected.
Cons: I would offer "bell-boy" service.
Location: When surrounded by the beauty of Alaska's greatness...what else could be added?
the Millennium staff were wonderful. From the shuttle pick-up, the desk personnel to housekeeping. Everything went off without a hitch. Everyone was very accommodating and professional. I highly recommend this hotel.
