OMG, the beach is right there!Posted Apr 12, 2015
Pros: Good drinks, good rooms, right on the beach, peaceful.
Cons: Offer more vegetarian/vegan options in the dining areas.
Location: We didn't get out & do much, just relaxed at the hotel - perfect! :)
Some common areas/outsides of the buildings need a little updating but the rooms seem to have been recently renovated & are nice. Most of the staff on the property were great. We LOVED how we could walk out our patio door & were on the beach! The drinks are excellent! The food was pretty good though lacking in vegetarian/vegan options. Look out for the sales ladies, (at the hotel) they are a little aggressive. We felt very safe on the island & in the resort. Unlike other islands, there was no one begging for money or trying to get their trinkets sold - which was wonderful! We would go back to Aruba in a heartbeat & cannot wait to plan our next trip!

Relaxing time at the Divi Tamarijn ..our 2nd visitPosted Apr 8, 2015
Location: Our goal was to relax and enjoy the resort so we did not leave the property. Everything we wanted to do was on site.
We returned to the Divi Tamarijn for the 2nd time..first time was in 1991 for our Honeymoon. We were not disappointed in our stay. All-inclusive option was nice since we could dine and enjoy entertainment at both the Tamarijn and Divi resorts. Pros: Walk right outside your door to the beach. Great variety of restaurants, bars and entertainment. Friendly, courteous staff. Very clean room and balcony area. Landscaping around the resort is constantly being groomed. Perfect weather all the time! Lots of evening activities by the pool area and a very family friendly and safe environment. Cons: Room could use some upgrading . We had the towel bar fall off in the shower, a loose toilet seat and a leaking soap dispenser in the bathroom. Our room was in the 2500 wing close to the public beach. We noticed people wandering from the public beach on to the resort property and actually sitting in the lounge chairs right outside patio rooms, taking photos, then leaving after they spent some time lounging in the sun. The Divi Tam does have their own security detail, but I believe they need to keep a closer watch at this location. Beach tables with umbrellas were “reserved” by Divi guests using their beach towels which I would asume is against policy. Some umbrellas were reserved for the day but never used by those who tagged them. The resort either needs more umbrellas or a better system for reserving a spot in the shade.

won't recommendPosted Mar 28, 2015
Pros: Very few of staff who is smiling and kind.
Location: Submarine: take 15 mins to get to the place by car Casino: take 20 mins by walk. others: recommend to take taxi or drive a car.
staff was not very happy and not smiling at all. very few were have smile and kind. not so many water sport you can do. very limited. also, if you do not return what you borrowed until 5 pm. you shall pay extra. Restaurants and bars are gethered all in one place so when you check-in, try to get a room closed to them otherwise, you shall take 10 to 15 mins to walk. Plus they don't have minibar but refrigerator with nothing in it. they do not serve water in bottle and ask customers to drink tab water in the bathroom making sense that they haven't had any problem of it. if you want to drink cold water, you shall go to one of bar or dirink bathroom water with ice. FYI, you can get ice from ice macihin on ground level not from the refrigerator you have. Seriously, i do not recommend this place.

Still fantastic!Posted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: Proximity to beach, food, laid back atmosphere, entertainment, sharing with Divi
Cons: Larger more convenient safes and better lighting in the bathroom. Also each of our 3 rooms had keys that stopped working throughout the week.
Location: Just north of airport, casinos, Oranjestad, beach, everything is close by!
2nd visit and it did not disappoint. we brought two couples who had never been to Aruba and enjoyed the property. The food was great, and the rooms that though are small and smack dab on the beach where we could sit on our balconies and palapas and watch the pelicans feeding. We also found we could snorkel off the south side of the resort and snorkel all the way up to the north side. Interesting thigs to see on thehsouth side and lots of beatifu whilte soand on the north side We enjoyed red Parrot restaurant the most. the others were good but not lie red parrot which is at the Divis (you have reciprocal rights). Each evening we enjoyed time at the Bunker Bar and saw 5 sunsets from that spot. The drinks are plenty, the people friendly, and we will be back! We stayed in the 11th and 12th building which are on the north side - tip the bartenders and servers a dollar or few throughout your stay - they work hard and long ours and will treat you well.

Terrific location!Posted Mar 15, 2015
Pros: Nice and quiet, great supporting staff, and the all-inclusive features, especially meals, reinforce our intention to return again next year.
Cons: The room safes could be located in a more convenient location.
Location: The resort is located within a short distance by bus or taxi to the island's Main St. downtown area, for shopping & eating.
Our room on the lower level, provided us the pleasure of simply walking out our beach facing slider, and stepping onto the beautiful sandy beach that was only 25 feet away. We could enjoy the sounds of the Carribean surf as we fell asleep at night. It doesn't get much better than that!

Tamarijn Aruba beach hotelPosted Mar 12, 2015
Pros: See Above
Cons: Water sports could have been better. Gym equipment, quiet a few machines were out of order. Nightly entertainment could have been better.
Location: Avoid town when cruise ships are in, which is most days, too busy and full of gimmickry entrainment which is not what Aruba is all about.
Hotel location is excellent, close to airport and many rooms just a few meters from the beach. Watching the sunset while sipping a cool drink from one of the many bars was a highlight. Bikes were great, used to get into town and visit high-rise hotels. Food quality very good, selection suitable for all diets. Bar had premium brands. Staff very friendly and helpful. Water sports centre and nightly entertainment could have been better, but if you are looking for a relaxing self indulgent holiday this is the place to go. Some clientele would insist reserving sun beds and parasols with placement of towels throughout the very early morning, observed many reserved loungers not being used until late morning!! Pool cleanliness could be improved. Some clients were quite noisy which broke the peaceful momentum. Avoid town when cruise ships are in, which is most days, too busy and full of gimmickry entrainment which is not what Aruba is all about. Take a day to visit Aruba highlights, Baby Beach, lighthouse, chapel, natural arch. We used a self drive car booked at the hotel, good service and cost effective against the organised tours. Would recommend this hotel.

This was my third time staying at the TamarijnPosted Mar 1, 2015
Love this resort! Perfect location on the beach. The staff are wonderful. Dining and entertainment are great. The rooms are not huge but they have private balconies, which is very nice. The staff does a great job keeping the grounds clean and litter free.

Loved having the beach & ocean just steps from ourPosted Feb 26, 2015
Pros: The closeness of the rooms to the beach & ocean
Cons: Help from the concierge. They are employees of DePalm tours & would not call & arrange our pick up for a tour with another company.
Overall a pleasant experience. Lots of beach frontage & plenty of lounge chairs & choice of shade & sun. Not an abundance of many shade options near the rather small pool. I made our reservation on line thru a 3rd party & all was well with it upon arrival except that our 4 rooms weren't all in the same building or adjoining like I had been told when I called the hotel directly to confirm. Food was good & enjoyed the variety & choice of additional restaurants

Not the samePosted Feb 22, 2015
Pros: Food, warmth/sunshine and the beach
Cons: More management visible so the service would improve. Coffee machines in the rooms
Location: Walking distance into town. Rental cars available to drive around the island and site see.
Been here three times and each time there are changes that are not always for the better. The staff on a whole are not service oriented or happy. They seem to spend a lot of time on personal cell phones texting. Rooms are nice looking but not clean. Drinks are thrown away each time you move off your chair and the way the prices have gone up I know we are paying for that. Some bartenders make a nice drink, others are too busy flirting with the girls. The music at the pool was inappropriate but dealt with by management, sad that it had to be done. We used to love coming to this resort for peace and quiet and a beautiful view. The view has not changed and the warmth was wonderful but I will not return again.
