Nice to hotel ski in ski outPosted Mar 21, 2015
Room was small but we were not in it much anyway. Did a lot of skiing and if that's what you're looking to do this place is perfect for the beautiful snowmass mountain.

Great Location, but really just a refurbished dumpPosted Mar 16, 2015
Pros: Location, location, location.
Cons: Where do I begin?
Location: Fuel in the village for great coffee and breakfast burritos. Steps from the lifts at Snowmass.
Steps from the main village at Snowmass, this location is hard to beat. But, you get what you pay for as this is also one of the cheapest accommodations. This place is really just a refurbished dump spruced up with bright, splashy colors and retro furnishings. I'm not overly picky, especially if it's just a quick weekend guys trip, as this was. But, I at least want a comfy bed, warm shower with good water pressure and a quiet comfortable sleep. This place delivered on only one: a comfy bed. The bathroom was barely large enough to whip a cat in (as they say in the South), the water pressure and amount of water coming from the shower head was abysmal, and the room was unbearably hot, even in late winter. It never got below 74 degrees in our room unless we propped open the door. The maintenance guy was helpful, but advised us there was no AC, only heat and the heat in the rooms tended to rise to the upper floors. Nothing we could do about it as the hotel was completely full. I'm slowly getting my buddies to open up to the possibility of staying at nicer accommodations, but they're baby steps!

Rabbit trailPosted Mar 16, 2015
Pros: A small, small peak of the ski lifts.
Cons: Tell people what they are really in for when trying to find their room. I got lost several times through the maize of rooms.
Nice hotel - Holiday Inn Express upgraded me to the Westin, if and when you arrive at your room, especially if you like to follow rabbit trails and take elevators that look like broom closets.

The Wildwood/ Holiday Inn ExpressPosted Mar 12, 2015
Pros: I could walk to skiing and restaurants. There are also shuttles close by to go the other ski areas and into Aspen.
Cons: The staff is nice, but maybe a bit understaffed at times.
Location: One flight of steps from the Snowmass Mall.
It was nice to be able to walk to the ski hill and shopping/ restaurants, just one flight down. Fun big bar with pool tables and games.

Called maintenance several times to fix heat in room. Arrived and it was 80 degrees (middle of winter). Turned down thermostat and stayed at 80 throughout the night. At 11 PM maintenance came up, said they would fix it someplace else in building. Never fixed. Asked for room change and was told that nothing was available. Supposed to stay there two days, but left after one. Also parking costs $44 per night, which was not advertised.

I'll send someone shortly.Posted Mar 10, 2015
Pros: Close to ski lifts
Cons: I reliable front desk manager
If you go here expect nothing from the front desk except "I'll send someone shortly". Our thermostat does not work --- I'll send someone shortly. Our room was not made up--- I'll send someone shortly. We don't have any towels --- I'll send someone shortly. Shortly ranged from 2 1/2 hours never.

Pros: Breakfast and the maid service.
Location: Eating and shopping and skiing is excellent, but could stand improving from inside and out.
It was a fiasco, to say the least. We were given the wrong room with a key/card and transferred to a non view room, when I had asked for a room with a view and we also had the responsibility of getting the correct room. I hated the room; it was obviously used last year early since it was dusty and dirty, and we had to ask maintenance to turn on the shower water for us on day 2. The maid service was good to leave our selves to our privacy and asked if we needed anything or wanted room service. No signs for privacy or to sleep or maid service were provided. We did not have a guide to the TV until my husband asked for one from the front desk; it was not updated but the channels were the same on the watch TV section. I did not sleep the first night because of noise from the refrigerator fan running continuously, so I turned it off. The noise and the heat exchange were very bad from the beginning until we checked out on 2/23/l5. Breakfast was good.

You get what you pay for.Posted Feb 24, 2015
Pros: Ski in and Ski out.
Cons: Room cleanliness, a more helpful hotel staff,
Location: Great location for skiing. Not a whole lot of restaurants or activities near by. However, a free shuttle to take you to Aspen but a long bus ride.
This is a very affordable ski in, ski out hotel. However, don't expect anything beyond that. The rooms didn't get cleaned very thoroughly, the hotel staff was less than accommodating and not very helpful, hairs on the towels and shower walls, incompetency on the part of the staff about available ammenities (robes, lotion, etc..), refusal to help with some sort of waitlist when we almost got stuck there, lack of security when storing our luggage and a general unhelpfulness of staff.

Stinking room, very poor front desk service, pathetic parking charges (They have a 4 day minimum parking charge and you have to pay 60$ for anywhere between 15 minutes and 4 days.)
