Cheap hotel with basic amenity

Posted Nov 22, 2014
Pros: Walkable from major city attraction
Cons: Security
Location: Near to hospitals, church and attractions
I have a nice stay in this hotel which is nearer to important landmarks of Atlanta like the world of coca cola and the CNN center. The only negative is the presence of homeless black people near the hotel street which I feel unsecured.

Didn't stay the night

Posted Nov 19, 2014
I was so sketched out by the area, room, & an intense feeling of lack of safety, I opted to stay at another hotel.

wouldn't stay again

Posted Nov 17, 2014
There is no main office. Just a security guard running everything. Room key didn't work so i had to get the guard to let me in each time i wanted back in the room. i could see day light through the door crack. no dead bolt, just a safety chain for security. Bed was OK, shower top could use a wipe every now and again. neighbourhood is not somewheres you would walk around at night.

Cons: WiFi was a little weak
It was awesome, perfect conditions and safe. Great location really close to everything to do in Atlanta and really gave the meaning of Atlanta GA.

Run down in bad neighborhood

Posted Nov 16, 2014
Pros: price
Cons: Room updates. Door locks very touchy
Location: It is in downtown, but I felt very unsafe walking the sidewalks nearby especially with people sleeping on the streets nearby.
I'm not sure what I expected. The stay was relatively cheap(for downtown Atlanta) and conveniently located property with a 24 hour security guard with a fence around it. There is a nearby street with a significant homeless presence. The card key system seemed to barely be functioning as it took me several minutes and the assistance by staff to get the slide in/out motion correct to get the door to open(be sure you can do it yourself before their office closes). The deadbolt lock was non-functional and the lights in the room had a very loud hum while on. Besides the disfunction with the door I didn't find anything else significantly wrong, the hotel is just in need of updates. I probably wouldn't choose to stay in this place again mostly because of the homeless population within 200 feet of the location, but if you like the feeling of a bit of danger and adventure while getting too/from your hotel it might be for you! To be clear the staff was helpful and professional and did their jobs well.

Valuables stolen

Posted Nov 15, 2014
Pros: Office staff generally helpful and courteous.
Had power cord stolen (likely by house keeping) from my room. No follow up from office after I reported it (it's now been one week since I reported the theft). Keys failed to work on door 3 times (requiring maintenance visits) during a 4 day stay; when it did work it took 10-15 swipes before keys activated the door lock. Huge homeless population in the same block, a bit unnerving.

Scary Neighborhood

Posted Nov 13, 2014
Pros: Close to downtown, good price.
Cons: Location, tough to change.
Location: Near downtown, so good access to many things by car.
There was heavy security & a police presence in the parking lot, which was a little comforting, but it was disappointing that this seemed necessary.

Pros: I like the cost, $40 per day, however, one needs a taxi to come back during the night.
Cons: More police men.
Location: The location could have been nice, but there is a near by apartment for people with issues.
The rooms are OK. The area is very dangerous, which is the reason why there is a police man all day.

Upon arrival the armed guard was very distant and unprepared for arriving guests. I booked a room with a king bed but was told by the guard that no king rooms were available. I was then given a room with one full size bed and told that if i didnt like it i could for go the money i had already paid and find something else.. To add insult to injury the guard then told me that he did not have any room keys and i would have to find him if i left and returned because the only way to access my room was if he let me in... I am very disappointed an upset that i paid for a king bed room and received a lesser room than i paid for..
