Nice hotel, it was close to the shopping mall

Pros: We liked the location because we were able to access the local transport.
Location: Yes, things were quite near the hotel
The staff was very helpful with everything we needed, made us feel comfortable and showed us places to visit. The hotel was very clean and tidy. Love the service, I would visit this hotel again.

Great.....except for the tiny room and bathroom.

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, cleanliness, amenities.
Cons: Room comfort and privacy, especially the ridiculously small bathrooms.
The W in Buckhead is great when you walk in. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. The restaurant and bar are top notch (although very expensive), and the facilities are very nice. But I could not get over the extremely small size of the rooms, and especially the bathrooms. All that's in the bathroom is a shower and a toilet, and they are literally inches from each other, separated by a pane of glass. Also, the shower has no door or curtain! The aforementioned pane of glass extends about half the length of the shower stall, but there's nothing to keep water from spraying in the rest of the bathroom when you take a shower. To make matters worse, this hall-closet-sized bathroom is separated from the room by a sectioned sliding door that is mostly translucent glass. The sink and mirror are outside the bathroom door. Basically, there's no privacy to the whole setup, so unless you're traveling alone, I'd stick to somewhere with a more traditional setup. The bed left something to be desired as well, but you can say that about most hotel beds, so I won't hold that against them too much.

Pros: Staff, location, comfort.
Cons: Knowing that this is a party destination, soundproofing the rooms would be fantastic.
Location: Great eating and shopping nearby!
The location was prime, the staff was courteous and efficient, and we were pleased with the amenities. The partying at night got old really quickly, but the staff were accommodating by moving us to a quieter room.

Overpriced!

Pros: The staff was very friendly and the location was good.
Cons: Air conditioning system for sure.
Small room. Small bathroom. Air conditioner came on every 15 minutes or so and sounded like a race car revving up it's engine making it impossible to sleep.

I will never stay anywhere but a W hotel. Best experience. Fun, staff was very accommodating. Very impressed.

Poor location, services, and small facilities

Cons: Service, size of facilities, staff that make the guest feel welcomed
Besides being over priced ($225 per night plus $32 parking fee per night) for the location and services, the facilities (like pool, patio, fitness center) were not big enough for a busy holiday crowd. There was nothing special given or offered at this hotel. I've been to hotels where cookies, fruit, breakfast, turn down service, etc is at least offered for this type of hotel. The most exciting part of the stay was comfy pillows and a lemony scented lotion. One terrible act of service happened during my stay; the restaurant manager pushed me. I was trying to find the stairs because there were about 75-100 people waiting to use the elevators. I was turned around and went towards an exit door near the kitchen. He pushed me and said, "get out of here." I reported this to the hotel manager who acted like it was a serious situation but then nothing was done and there was no follow up. I would not recommend this hotel.

Great hotel for peachtree road race..

Loved everything.. The elevators were a little confusing cause you have to use room card.. And it would always let us .. But other then that it was great.

Weekend trip

I loved the location of this hotel. It is within walking distance of Lenox/shopping and good restaurants. I was a little surprised by the cleanliness of the hallways. There were glasses and plates and pizza boxes in the hallway. It did not look very clean and crisp. I was not sure, but our shower did not feel like it was super clean. Cleanliness, in my opinion, is one of the things that makes a hotel stay so great. It is so nice coming into a room that is fresh. I will say though that I was very satisfied with my concierge and his ability to put us in a good room, and make knowledgeable recommendations about the area and the hotel.

The W stole my money and refuses to give it back

Even though I booked and paid through hotels.com, The W charged my card for the room and refuses to refund me, no matter how hard I try. I have called, emailed, and left voice mails and they tell me there is nothing they can do. So I paid for the room twice. Do not stay at The W.
