Not what I expected, but great hotel

The price of the room, the fact that I reserved a room that was listed higher than the cheapest (basic) room, and pictures led me to believe that I was getting a nicer suite. I was expecting a separate living area but It was actually a studio. The bathroom didn't have a door, only a sliding glass divider. That's not a big deal until you have friends come over & they're uncomfortable using the toilet while you can clearly hear them and see their sillouette lol. It was still a good room, just far from what I expected for the "Fabulous Room" or whatever the 2nd cheapest room is called. The hotel is setup very nice inside, the valet is $32 with in/out privileges or pay to park next door & pay everytime you leave. There is also a complimentary shuttle which is an Infinity QX80 truck that has a 2mile radius, which is perfect for shopping or restaurants. There is a nice bar in the lobby & an even better one on the roof.

The Fabulous room category is lower than our WOW Suites but it is nicer than the Wonderful room category. We are in extremely close proximity to both Lenox Square Mall and Phipps Plaza, which has been noted as the best shopping on the East coast south of DC. Nice hotel, if they hadn't overcharged my card

After having a mediocre experience at the W Buckhead, I noticed a 100.00 charge to my credit card. I had already paid in full through Expedia and wasn't expecting any other charges. Now it's been 3 weeks and I still haven't received a refund. I'm one who rarely checks my account so I'm glad I did, else I would have dropped another 100.00 on an "okay" hotel.

Very nice hotel. Valet is a little expensive, but worth it for the night.

Great location

Great location with lots of things in walking distance. And the Marta stop is across the street. Great bar with cool atmosphere

VERY DISAPPOINTED

Pros: efficient elevator
Cons: Beds, hallway carpet, room insulation
Location: Lenox Mall, Phipps Plaza, Buckhead
The mattresses are very uncomfortable. I felt as though I was sleeping in a hole. The room to room noise is very loud. I listened to someone next door snore all night not to mention their conversations prior. I stay in hotels all over the world and found this W hotel to be very disappointing. I will not return.

My boyfriend and I went in to the city for 1 night and decided to stay at The W Buckhead. Overall, it was a nice place to stay. The policy on keeping quite so that all guests will enjoy is nice to hear but the loud, intoxicated, profanity ridden voices were not nice to hear at 3:45 am. I left a couple of shirts and a rather expensive Banana Republic sweater in the hotel and as soon as I discovered that I left them I called. Within a few hours of checking out. I have talked to a couple of security guards who say they will look in to it but still no results. The only people who had access to my room were me, my boyfriend and The W Staff. I have one more call in to the hotel and now I am just waiting to hear back. I go out of y way to return things to their owners and if I don't know who something belongs to, I return it to someone who may be able to find the owner. If it's not yours, don't keep it... So with that said, don't forget it!

Awakened many times - thin door, loud guests.

Cons: Excessive noise levels.
Fashionable, convenient but awakened numerous times by loud noises in hall. Young, rowdy, drinking guests + little sound insulation from hall = no future bookings from this tired middle-aged traveler.

There is a nightclub on the roof of the hotel.

Cons: Soundproofing. We can put a rover on the moon but you can't make a quiet hotel room? Please.
The DJ spins very loud music until 2am. If you are interested in nightlife, this may be the hotel for you. If you are a business traveler and need to sleep before 2am, then go elsewhere.
