“Driskill Austin TX: Excellent”
Everything about the hotel was excellent: location, service, friendliness of staff, character. I look forward to returning. Great deal on Expedia, thanks.
“Spectacular Historical Hotel”
This hotel is beautiful. The decor was all Texan. Professional staff and excellently maintained rooms. You won't be disappointed.
“Like a Giant Cattle Baron's Mansion”
Lovely interior, great location, wonderful service, cute cafe. I'm a repeat visitor!
“Austin Gem”
I love great old hotels, and this one lives up to its reputation. The rooms and public areas are fabulous. I got a great rate on Expedia, which led to my selection for this trip.
“Historic Hotel”
Hotel was beautiful, staff wasn't very friendly or attentive and the wait staff at the bakery was pretty rude.
“The Driskill is Awesome”
I really enjoy staying here. The history of the hotel is nostalgic.
“Beautiful hotel!”
The Driskill is a beautiful hotel right in the middle of Austin. Everything is in walking distance -- the capital, the Congress Ave. bridge, shops, music, bars. My room was on the historic side and was perfect -- comfortable, beautiful, and very clean. Room service, desk staff, and others were very accommodating and friendly. If I am in Austin again, I will stay here without thinking twice.
“Very impressed”
One word sums up our stay at The Driskell... perfection. Gorgeous 18th century hotel completely restored to it's original condition. Superb service. Exquisite decor in our room as well as throughout the hotel. Well worth paying a bit more to stay in a place that is a part of history.
“Very nice”
The hotel is beautiful! My only warning is that the term "European bath" in a room means "Extremely small". The staff (especially the valets) were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay there again.
“Can't wait to go back”
Fantastic hotel. Very nice hotel. Service was excellent. Room was great and room/bed was very comfortable. I will stay there again.
