Fantastic value for money

Posted Mar 30, 2014
Pros: Everything!
Cons: The club lounge area balcony should be made non-smoking. Also, perhaps and free airport shuttle service would be much appreciated by the guests.
Location: Kintamani and Ubud day trip (to see the volcanos, rice fields and Luwak coffee plantation) was worth the effort. Not too expensive if you hire a cab.
The Ayana resort was beautiful and even more pretty than the pictures. The staff, especially the club lounge staff, were so wonderful and doing it for the love of it (we know because we offered a tip as a thank you and the lovely man refused saying that he offers good service to guests because that is his job - so we recommend leaving a tip at check out timefor all the staff in the club lounge to share). All food and drinks, including alcoholic, were included in our Club package. The Rock Bar, the various infinity pools, the Aquatonic spa treatment, the golf, the tennis and the general amentities were all amazing, clean and better than what we have seen in many other nice resorts we have stayed in. Overall we would highly recommend this, including for the fact that the service and support was just as fantastic after check out, as we still had a few hours to go before we needed to be at the airport. We not only got extended check out time but also full and complementary access to the resort and its facilities, including the club lounge with its free food and drinks and an IPAD for use during that time to keep us entertained. Don't go anywhere else but to Ayana! We will certainly be back. Thank you to all the friendly and amazing staff at Ayana for making our stay so wonderful.

Excellent hotel to be just relaxed!

Posted Mar 29, 2014
Pros: Staff, Restaurants, Cafe
Cons: Private beach is a bit small. The drinks (paid is ok) should be served in the private beach where free bottles of mineral water are currnetly served.
Location: The hotel is a bit far located from the city (=20 to 30 min taxi ride at around U$10 for one way).
The hotel is a sort of resort complex with a very nice ocean view of swiming pool, several good restaurants, cafe, small grocery shop etc. inside the hotel premise. Although you have to take a few minutes hotel buggy ride to go to a small private beach, it is very nice to go just for lying on the beach and relax yourself. The hotel staff is well trainined and all of them are kind and friendly. It is one of the best hotels for relaxation by staying away from the busy business world!

Great Bali Resort

Posted Mar 24, 2014
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Perhaps a small cafe for light snacks through the day.
Location: Jimbaran location is excellent but a little too far from mainstream Bali, I.e. Kuta and Seminyak. Taxi rides are required.
Terrific resort with all the facilities. Attentive staff, great range of restaurants and swimming pools. This resort is worth the money.

FANTASTIC!!! Don't go past Ayana

Posted Mar 8, 2014
Pros: Everything! Food, staff, rooms, facilities...everything! Gym was fantastic & uptodate machines.
Cons: Cheaper exchange rates!
Location: Kuta is only a 25min taxi drive away & will cost you around 80rupiah ($8 AUS dollars). Don't accept anything more than that! Kubu beach also!
Our hotel room was beautiful & very clean. Balcony provided an exceptional amount of space & privacy. Plus the views of the golf course & ocean were perfect. There are many pools to choose from. The main pool had excellent service, but we enjoyed the mini pool next to the gym as there was never anyone around wanting to use it. The ocean view pool is sensational for a hangover relaxation the next day. The rockpool bar provided a great view of the sunset. It is worthwhile visiting & definitely when you are staying at the hotel as you have priority service & seating as hotel guests (there was a very big line when we visited on the Sunday night). By the 3rd day all of the staff knew us by our first names & they even went to the trouble of handwriting a thank you card on our last day. They were extremely pleasant & always stopped to say hello when you were walking through the hotel to your next destination. The included breakfast was to die for!!! Not only did they have hot food & fruit they had many styles of Asian foods for breakfast. Kubu beach is to die for & a must see. I have been looking for a hotel to out do my 5 star experience in Thailand in 2004....this by far exceeds my expectations & the views are absolutely amazing! Definitely a place to revisit! Value for money & time.

Gorgeous hotel with amazing views

If you love traveling in style and absolute luxury then Ayana is where you need to be! On arrival we were greeted with a yummy fresh drink, and a beautiful lei. The rooms are a normal size with a king size bed and a small couch. We had an additional bed included for the 3rd friend & we were very surprised how thick & comfy the bed was. Rooms are clean and just lovely. The hotel is HUGE! But don't worry it's free to get a cart ride every 15 min to explore it. The famous Rock bar only a 1min walk away, & as guests of the hotel we didn't have to book, plus we got to skip the long queue. The rock bar and restaurant is mind blowing with it's breathtaking views of the gorgeous red sun, orange rays hitting the clouds and endless ocean creating a canvas of colours that you can't help but fall in love and snap away with your camera. The martini strawberry frozen was my favorite cocktail of the night and was sooo delicious and perfect to sip on as we got lost the awesome environment at the Rock bar. Definitely worth experiencing coming to Ayana if you want to relax.

Great Resort

Posted Feb 20, 2014
Pros: The breakfast buffet was GREAT!!! So many fresh fruit and juices to choose from. Great location and friendly staff.
Cons: The resorts needs to provide FREE wifi. The rate ($10 per hour) is ridiculous.
Location: This resort is nestled next to the ocean, located away from the hustle and bustle of Jimbaran. You feel secluded in a beautiful tropical island.
When we arrived we were greeted with smiles and flowers. The staff were great and helpful for local attractions and will help you reserve/book activities outside of the resort. We never had to wait to talk with someone; there was always a staff member that would promptly attend to our needs.

Beautiful resort but expensive ..

Posted Feb 18, 2014
Beautiful scenary, friendly staff and good service. Would love to come back again . 2 down side: need to q very long for my breakfast at Padi. The staff could have been more flexible to give me priority as I was carrying my toddler and it was raining ... Instead they asked me to follow the q which was not sheltered Insufficient training given to the Service staff from China. She had difficulty conversing in English and worse of all she gave me the wrong information on the resorts. I thought as a 5 Class hotel they should be stringent in their hiring and training process in order to uphold the image of the hotel
