Nice Hotel, but....

Posted Apr 23, 2015
Pros: Beach access, pools, friendly staff.
Cons: I would like to see a better wardrobe - no room for clothing or luggage, and the glass door to the bathroom/toilet was appalling.
Location: Very busy Legian area with narrow streets and lots of shops and services for tourists. The beach front was more pleasant.
Great breakfast, friendly staff and excellent outdoor area. You would never see the crowd although there were many guests in the hotel - there is an easy access to the beach and the vast, well arranged pools’ areas. Our room (Deluxe Club Cottage) was rather small so if you come for a longer stay, ask for a room with a good wardrobe - we only had a limited space for hanging a few garments and not even one shelf. A glass door to the bathroom/toilet was a surprise too. Pool towels' hire office was locked at 7pm although the pools were open till 9pm. If you missed the time you could not enjoy late evening swimming.

Great location Great pool.

Posted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: Pool area, very tidy grounds and gardens, loved the location. quiet and yet in amongst good shopping, bars and restaurants.
Cons: Pool umbrellas and soft furnishings on pool lounges and bar lounges.
Location: Good shopping, bars and restaurants at doorstep but at the same time quiet beach front , clean beach front.
I;ve been wishing to stay at this hotel for years but just haven't had the opportunity to do so until very recently. Just had a five night stay with my daughter for rest and relaxation. We loved the hotel and what it had to offer. Beautiful pool and surrounds, pool bar area lovely except for condition of pool lounges and umbrellas....Only four umbrellas were surrounding the pool area. General condition of the cushions around the sunset bar in need of replacing. But in all fareness there was a renovation in process with an existing restaurant being replaced with a roof top bar, therefore I guess they were waiting to complete the new area before upgrading the soft furnishings. .Management very sympathetic to guests and willing to offer compensation for anyinconvenience caused from the renovation. All in all very enjoyable. Would return without a doubt.

Beautiful Resort

Posted Mar 22, 2015
Pros: Very green with a variety of room choices. The pool was the best part day and night.
Cons: We were happy with what we got.
Location: The Kuta, Legian region is heavy with small shops trying to get your money. It is close to main shopping centres for those wanting superior shopping.
Very Good resort with great pool and good facilities for sleeping, eating, and general relaxation. The only reason to leave the hotel grounds is for tours of the island and Shopping and shopppinnnggg.

Bali Mandira Resort in Legian, Bali

Posted Mar 22, 2015
Pros: Pool area is first class and caters for everyone.
Location: Bali Mandira Resort is located right on the beach. Its within walking distance to Melasti Street and Padma Street. Lots of restuarants and shopping.
The renovated pool area is amazing. Ideal for families with children, or just adults wanting a little bit of luxury. Well worth a visit. The hotel is right on the beach. Bufet breakfast has something for everyone. For older visitors or those with mobility issues, make sure you request a room with a separate shower and not over the bath as it can be a little difficult geting in and out. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

The friendliest place on earth

Posted Feb 17, 2015
Pros: The staff is welcoming and will follow up on any question you ask them. If you don't get an immediate answer, they will leave you a note in your room
Cons: I really didn't like the 21% tax and surcharge, but I assume that is the norm throughout Bali. I only wonder how much of the % goes towards tax.
Location: Shopping and restaurants are a minute away . Lots of places to get massages and get custom suits made too. I got 2 made for about 100 dollars!
The resort is located next to the beach. Great location and you can easily access local shopping and restaurants, which are about a minute away (walking) The best part of the resort is the professionalism of the entire staff. Whether you are dealing with the groundskeeper, housekeepers, or other staff members, they always greet you with a "hello" or "how are you today?" They are sincere too! This isn't a butt-kissing greeting, its a greeting from the "heart" and "genuine". People say the happiest place on earth is Disneyland, but Bali Mandira Beach Resort is definitely the friendliest place on earth. The spa on the resort is soothing and inexpensive. You can easily get an hour massage for about 30 dollars. The pool is great and was the seller for me. They have a "beach style" pool with sand. Also, they have a pool bar, waterfall, 2 slides, and an island in the middle. If you're not happy with those, there is an endless pool. The only negative thing, if I can think of one, is that lack of a heated jacuzzi, but your in Bali! The resort has a tropical setting and is flourished with palm trees, statues, flowers, and water ponds with fish. The buildings architecture flows with the tropical theme and makes you feel like you are in Bali. I recommend this resort for a more mature crowd. If you want to go party and get drunk every night, this is not the resort for you. If you want to go and relax and get away from the younger crowd, this is the resort for you.
