Not quite what I expectedPosted Jul 31, 2014
Pros: Was reasonably clean. Staff was pleasant and helpful.
Cons: Have a parking area for check-in. Have elevator that accessed all rooms, or state that access includes stairs in the hotel description for those rooms
Location: In less than desirable part of town. Undesirables hang out where one has to walk to the many restaurants and pubs nearby.
Was not in the room description that after taking elevator to the floor, I would still have to navigate 2 half flights of stairs. Having 3 bags, had to leave them to ensure I was going upward to the correct room or else carry them up and have to return if was in wrong part of hotel. The cabinet holding the TV had hinge missing making it almost impossible to close the doors. The TV did not have cable available the first day. The TV could not be watched/controlled by remote control unless both cabinet doors were open, which left not room to walk by the bed to the bath. One door actually would get stuck against the bed when opened. I believe the staff was short handed or had just hired new employees. Although the staff was very pleasing and accomodating, had trouble getting a simple request right. The hotel was in a very questionable part of town. The description stated that room service was available. It was not. After finally getting the menu for the restaurant brought to the room, I discovered that the restaurant was not affialiated with the hotel and did not deliver.

Great locationPosted Jul 13, 2014
Enjoyed our stay at the Admiral Fells Inn. Many restaurants within easy walking distance. Directly across from the water taxi with just a ten minute ride to the Inner Harbor. The hotel is a quaint, historical property. Staff was friendly and efficient. Will definitely rebook next time we are in Baltimore.

Just okPosted Jun 7, 2014
Cons: housekeeping, upkeep of room, attention to detail, no hidden fees
Location: many great restaurants, bars, shops, water taxi
Best thing about the Admiral Fell is the location It is in the heart of Fells Point. There are many great restaurants and shops near by. The water taxi stop is across the street to take you anywhere in the bay area. The hotel itself has some problems. We enjoy an historic property but it can be maintained properly. There is no excuse for the chipped paint, cracked porcelain and broken faucets. The pillows were thin and hard. Some one needs to supervise the house keeping. There was grime coating the air vents, dust bolls in the corners and the bed sheets barely tucked around the mattress. We only had a bath mat one day out of five and the number of towels varied. One day we had no clean coffee mugs, glasses or coffee. It took 2 trips to the front desk and 2 visits by a house keeper to have this taken care of. Also there should be honesty in advertising. It was stated that there would be a daily paper available in the lobby and breakfast at 6:30. No paper - person at the desk said "oh, they stopped delivering that". Coffee and breakfast was usually 30-60 minutes late. There was also a lovely surprise of an extra $35 per day service charge for some mythical off site health club. For the price we paid I would suggest staying elsewhere and taking the water taxi to Fells Point.

The gentleman at checkPosted May 31, 2014
At check in - I shared I had to be at Johns Hopkins at 4:30 am and they moved me to an extra quiet room and then he actually went outside and stood in a parking space for me while I moved my car. Thx for the excellent service.

Great Location, but ....Posted May 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
Love the location, but there were a couple issues. The windows on the outside were filthy and since the floors were hardwood, the sound of an early vacuum of the room above me was super loud. The bed was comfortable and the staff was very nice. Especially when checking in.

Very nice & appealing hotelPosted May 15, 2014
Pros: historical charm & atmosphere
Cons: Sound proof
Very nice & appealing hotel. Excellent dedicated staff who likes this hotel... and its ghosts... But be aware of the surrounding neighborhood that could be very noisy ( street parties/ events & night club until 2:00 AM on Saturdays ) Perfect if your Week-end life style if you share a passion for Hip Hop music; Very acceptable if you can check on the Night club and street events ' schedule and so get a less exposed room

Best Location to enjoy Fells PointPosted Apr 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
We arrived a little early so we checked our bags and walked across the street and had lunch. The hotel staff was very helpful and by the time we had lunch we entered our room around 3:00. Admiral Fell Inn is in the heart of all activities. Many bars, dining locations and lots of historic stops. We arrived Friday and did ok in finding places to eat with no waiting. However, Saturday was very busy with standing room only. If you plan on taking the water taxi, get your tickets in the lobby of the hotel, they were free. Also we purchased the aquarium tickets, which were VIP and allowed us to move to a special line and walked right in. Had some good mussels at Bertha's. Fells Point is excellent for listening to good music which seemed to be on most streets. The only negative I could say about Admiral Fells is: We were on the second floor and right over a nightclub which played non stop RAVE club music, which went on from about 10-2. If you want a good night sleep, request a room away from Thames Street and not over the CLUB.
