Nice and close to airport

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Proximity to airport
Cons: soundproofing. We could hear others talking.
Location: Could use a list of nearby restaurants to get a dinner or lunch.
All went well and the staff was very welcoming. It was great the you are located so close to BWI airport.

Pros: Nothing.
Location: No parking.
No parking anywhere. Asked hotel staff where to park they said 'I don't know'. Room terribly small, non smoking smelled like smoke. Very ghetto.

Everything is very old and not well kept.

Pros: That is was available....but now I know why.
Cons: Pretty much everything, I'm sorry to say.
I was forced to stay at this Hotel...no, let's call it a Motel, because my flight was late getting in and my other flight left so the next flight wasn't available until morning. Apparently many other people had this same issue because there were no other hotels available except this one and another one much further away. I tried calling Microtel to let them know that I need someone to pick me up in their "free shuttle to/from the airport" but no one ever answered the phone. When I just decided to get a cab and fork over the money, I arrived and the staff acted like she was just so busy because there were 2 other people in line. She was trying to find my reservation with my name but kept telling me how their systems are down and they can't find anyone's reservations. She then called someone I assume they were in the office or something and argued with them how she needed help up front and spent more time telling them she needed help then just trying to help get me checked in. Finally, when she hung up I showed her my reservation number and she typed that in and pulled up my reservation and then it was smooth sailing....until I got to my room. The carpet was probably the nicest thing in the room but everything else was either old, stained, bleach spots, holes, huge 1 inch caulking in the shower and to top it off, it didn't smell clean. Thankfully, when I pulled the bedspread back, I didn't find any hair or bugs, but I can tell you, I'm surprised that I didn't!

Shuttle driver was not welcoming, however front desk person was helpful. Hotel was disappointing, view of wall and missing fixtures. Would not stay again...

Don't book here

Posted Jul 12, 2014
We asked for a non-smoking room, but the entire hotel reeks of cigarettes. The bathroom was not clean (i.e. hair on the floor) and the room had a lingering stale smell, as well. There aren't any restaurants within walking distance, either. Plus, the "complementary airport shuttle" is extremely unreliable... took more than 45 min to pick us up, and was not ready on time for departure. We ended up getting a taxi to make sure we made it to the airport on time.

Near BWI airport

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Location: Movie theater, places to eat, and very close to the airport.
This is a great little place to stay at a reasonable price if you need accommodations near the airport. They also have an airport shuttle that runs 24 hours. Gas station nearby that's much cheaper than the one nearest the rental car facility. Continental breakfast in the morning - bagels, muffins, juice, cereal, coffee. It's a good deal for the price.

This property was adequate for my 6-hour stay.

I would recommend this property only for a quick stop over. It needs upgrading, i.e. painting and carpeting. I expected better because of its association with the Wyndham brand.

OK experience, you get what you pay for. Hotel had bit of a smell in the lobby, but room was decent.
