Great stay for the value

Pros: Nice breakfast, comfortable and updated rooms, nice pool
Cons: Update hallways and room doors
Location: Close to interstate and Mall of Louisiana
The rooms are very nice and comfortable. Excellent pillows and linens. The breakfast was pleasant and there was a decent variety. Only downside is the hallways. They are kind of creepy and need updating. The red paint on the outside of the doors is chipping away, and it looked like my door had been forced open at one time. A little update to this aspect would really add pleasantry to the hotel.

The room was quiet and clean, however, the tv didn't work. I called the front desk and nobody came to fix it.

Nice staff. Poor condition

While the LaQuinta brand is reliable, this property needs some care. The staff was pleasant all week. The breakfast was adequate and bed was comfy. However, the carpet in the hotel was never vaccumed, neither in the halls nor my room. It might be okay for a night, but the room was paid for the week so I dealt with it.

We were disappointed

Pros: The staff was friendly.
We checked in very late on the 1st and there was a huge party in the parking lot. When we got into the hotel, it was very dirty- cigarette butts in the elevator. Our floor had people going up and down the hallway yelling and running. We went to sleep and got woken up by a vacuum hitting the door over and over in the hallway. Then we showered to get ready for the day and there was a half used bar of soap. Overall we were very disappointed and checked out after one day.

Disappointing for La Quinta

Cons: Fix the door and add a shower curtain! Maybe add some lighting in the parking lot.
Location: Dark at night. Some questionable people roaming the parking lot.
The hotel was kind of dark at night, but ok, we arrive. Walk up to our room and the door looks like it's cracked open. We thought someone was in the room, but couldn't push it open. It looked like someone tried to kick the door open at some point but it at least actually locked. However, from the inside, the dead bolt would not turn. We had to rely on the chain to feel a little more secure. We crash for the night and when we wake up the next morning to take a shower, there isn't even a shower curtain! We told the front desk about the issues. They didn't seem that concerned about the door since it did lock. They said they had some housekeeping changes so they would check on the shower curtain. They only way they could compensate for anything was for me to join La Quinta Rewards and give me extra points. At least they offered something, but was not a good stay. Very disappointing.

Party central...and not in a good way!

There were other hotel guests that were extremely rude and LOUD!!! I personally had to ask to first have my room changed because of the noise. Once I was moved the noise continued and the guests (10-12 people!) were directly across the hall from me and I asked that they at least close their door. I could not believe there was not enough staff to maintain the hotel. The front desk clerk was unavailable for 15-20 minutes at check-in because she was "assisting other guests." The staff was very apologetic the morning of my checkout as other respectful guests had the same horrible experience. One other guest requested a change of hotels because this one was so unruly. You may want to think twice about staying at this hotel as I believe it is where party animals know it's ok to stay here...

Pool was real clean breakfast could have been longer sink to close to the door other than the bathroom being to small woke up to a lizard in the bathroom

We didn't get what we were told or payed for !! Bottom line is they sold our room that was paid for to someone else

Pros: everything was fine
Cons: nothing
Location: The hotel was right off the interstate and the Blue Bayou water park is 3.5 miles away :)
We came over from Baldwin County Ala to go to the waterpark. I found you on Expedia and we headed over at night, checking in around 12:15. We got up, had breakfast, and checked out. I love how cold the room got. We all slept well. All 6 of us !
