Quiet, comfortable and clean
We were wanting a quiet, comfortable, clean place to stay that was close to Little Beaver State Park. The cabins at Pine Haven Lodge more than adequate! They also have onsite outdoor activities and a walking trail. With groceries and restaurants nearby...The Dish Cafe is excellent. The staff at Pine Haven is awesome, and their cleaning staff is better than some expensive hotels. We will definitely stay here again! Thank you helping to make our weekend perfect!

This delightful cabin
This cabin is in a very nice quiet area with cabins around it. It was nice to have all the amenities of home. The hot tube was great after a day of hiking in New River Gorge, national Park. Huge front porch was a nice treat to sit and rock your stress away. Bedrooms were what was needed and they had 2 Nice full bathrooms which is nice when you have several people. I loved that there was onsite laundry because I needed it for my child. Not 1 but 3 tv with great channels along with some free streaming apps. This is close to Walgreens or cvs. There are many places to eat like the cookout ( that’s the name of the restaurant) and chick Fil a. There is about 15 mins away Walmart, krogers and Aldi. Already recommended this to another family member. The host and the on-site staff were nice. Can’t wait to come again.

Great Place.
Wonderful place to stay. Close to locol attractions as well as shopping. The staff was super friendly and the host was very helpful as well. My son left a special stuffed animal and the host responded quickly that they found it and mailed it to our home for us making one little boy very happy! We will definitely be back for another stay in the future.

We enjoy coming here because it's pet friendly, a taste of the forest but close to convienences, and close to skiing/New River etc. The hot tub is the best.

kitchen, baths, beds, floors all clean, vents dirty location great, I thought the cabins were off alone and you could not see the other cabins, my bad, this did not turn out to be any problem, loved the onsite activities, the closeness of stores, gas, restaurants and other activities furniture, beds, dining table was the most uncomfortable I have ever come across not good for relaxing at the cabin or sleeping Everyone working at Pine Havan was awesome Overall, I was very pleased and would definitely stay again a PIne Havan.

Quiet Cabin
This cabin was the perfect size, quiet. Lots of room between cabins and close to everything. I had always wanted to stay in a log cabin. If I am ever back to this part of West Virginia I would definitely stay here. Hsd a hot tub but never had time to use.

We had a short but very comfortable stay. The management was great!!
I applied online but was able to talk to the office as needed. We had a power outage while there. The whole town was out. My husband went to find an after hours number, but found management was already on it!

Great place
We absolutely loved staying at Roaring Rapids. The cabin was very clean upon arrival and was very spacious. There is an upstairs with a twin bed, a full bed, and a bathroom. Downstairs had the living room, dining room, kitchen, and master room with a bathroom attached. We got to enjoy meals outside on the back patio as well as the hot tub at night. There was plenty of space for our dogs to run around and have a good time as well! Other cabins are closer than I had imagined but we liked the location of our cabin specifically. Amy was very helpful throughout our stay and had plenty of recommendations!

Rustic retreat
The cabin was a log cabin experience. The upstairs balcony gave a great view of the outdoors. The bed was very comfortable. Plenty of towels, soaps, coffee, etc. The weather wasn’t very cooperative during our stay so we weren’t able to use the hot tub and we ended up leaving early because of the rain. Lots of activities to enjoy if the weather is nice. The front porch was a great place for morning coffee

The beds are a nightmare!
The beds are a nightmare At this property. I literally had to leave the bed and sleep on the couch in the living room because it was so lumpy and horrible. They all are! The cabin itself is fine and it’s clean. It’s an area that’s basically a cabin trailer park next-door to a trailer park. That’s kind of weird. Everything inside the cabin is as cheap as cheap can be. That includes the dishes the coffee pot the toaster and especially the beds. Since we are booking a place to sleep, The least they could do is give you a bed you can sleep in. It was actually really

Great getaway cottage resort.
We weren't sure what we were getting into. We thought it was a single cabin on private property. Turned out to be a set of cabins like a resort with amenities. The weather threw us a curve and it was in the 20s and snowing. But it was no problem, they had central heat, a fireplace and hot tub. Our spring flipped to a winter escape. All thanks to the cabin's features. The fireplace is run by wood pellets which the office on-site kept stocked. There is a walking trail for an easy hike. There is a Frisbee / mod flight golf course as well. Our cabin had two bathrooms, kitchen with fridge, stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher. Outside there was a park style grill for cooking out doors. It had everything.

Excellent Customer Service
The manager of the property was very friendly and easy to deal with. We were upgraded to a larger cabin and had plenty of space. The cabins aren't as private from each other as I thought they would be, but we had a great time. Would have liked to have had a fire ring outside.

Fun Weekend Getaway
We came from NC to go tubing at Winterplace and wanted a little cabin to relax in. This one was perfect!!! Not too far away from everything and not too close either. Amenities were great for our short stay and the hot tub was amazing. Would definitely stay here again!

Good Location
This was a great location for our trip. It was close to a grocery store and close to our primary destination, WinterPlace Ski Resort. We also enjoyed Little Beaver State Park, which was also close by. The cabin was easy to get to and the grounds were clean and well kept. Our beds were comfortable.

The cabin was cute
The actual cabin was adorable. I thought communication was sub par. Upon arrival when asking about check in procedure I was told I owed a balance, even tho I paid in full on VRBO they did not take into account tax??? They said I could take care of it the next day, but I had stuff planned the entire trip and did not want to waste time going to pay more money. I was not a fan of all around the cabin having signs about what to do or you’ll be charged more. It was not a very homey feel.

Woodsy cabin in a community.
The cabin was cozy with everything that we needed and check-in was super easy. The hot tub is great after a hard day of rafting. The owner is very responsive. If you're looking to get away from it all and be isolated, this cabin is not for you. If you're looking for a cabin with neighbors and convenience, then this is perfect. It's so close to Kroger that you can shop for supplies/groceries once you get to the cabin. Be warned that whoever is sleeping on the lower level will hear everything that happens above them!

Great time!
This review is actually for the lodge - the cabin we wanted was not available so the owner/manager offered the lodge for the same price. It was a little bigger than we needed but it was clean and had everything we needed. It is somewhat outdated but the kitchen was stocked with almost everything we needed to cook several meals in and for the price it was everything we could have hoped for. The property is adorable and not as far off the beaten path as other reviews say. You can run down to a drug store or gas station very easily. But does have a middle of nowhere feel nonetheless. All around very fun weekend!

This is just what the doctor ordered for a prescription of rest and relaxation! We had such a wonderful and rejuvenating stay here. The staff was so accommodating. They went out of their way to make our time here as relaxing and peaceful as possible. They were quick to respond to our requests. The cabin is absolutely lovely. Very well kept and the hot tub overlooking the Pine Forest was so tranquil, especially loved the deer visitation while enjoying our time on the large back deck.We will defenitely return in the future.

Lovely weekend getaway!
We spend a weekend here and it was simply gorgeous. Our cabin was well-equipped and clean, with beautiful views. The hot tub was our favorite part of the stay. Easy check-in and check-out. Will definitely be back here with family.

Beautiful, clean cabin, nice hot tub, fun stuff around
We stayed here for two nights while we ran a Spartan obstacle course race nearby. The cabin was immaculately clean. Plenty of towels, sheets and blankets were available. The beds were comfortable and the Jacuzzi was hot! We enjoyed the sand volleyball court just a short walk away and the Frisbee golf course looked fun. I would definitely stay here again if I find myself in the area.
