Understaffed and unprofessionalPosted Sep 12, 2014
Hotel has everything you'd expect at this price but is severely understaffed. I arrived in the evening and the woman at reception spent ages apparently moving people around to allocate my room, even though prepaid. Then when my key failed to work - demagnitized without proximity to a phone or other device, mysteriously - found a lone young woman at reception - long line waiting to check in and the phone ringing. Last straw was toilet failed to flush. I called for someone to fix it - a matter of urgency given that I'd just used it - but no-one came. I tried to find the problem and flushed using waste bucket. Had to call again to wake them up to fix it. Seemed like it was being staffed by very inexperienced people - nice enough but too few of them. Having just come from the US the contrast is startling, and dire.

Nice hotel central for City CentrePosted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Have to have a key pass to enter lift making one feel very secure.
Location: Central for markets, shops, restaurants, sight seeing and airports.
Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Ideal venue for a one or two night stay in the City Centre and local to the airport. More functional than holiday hotel to relax in. Great for meetings, business and passing through. Charges for local car park are at a discounted rate.

Good central hotel.Posted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: The staff we meet went out of their way to be helpful and friendly, especially reception staff (Lauren & Amanda especially) and Sean in the restaurant
Cons: Housekeeping in the rooms could be improved - no teabags and beds hardly made.
Location: Central hotel with lots to see and do. Close to bus station for connections to airport.
The hotel served us well, breakfast was good value for money, dinner was very good and the location was ideal.

Very convenient hotelPosted Jul 24, 2014
Pros: The staff are so friendly and helpful. They made us feel at home.
Cons: Nothing. This hotel ticks all the boxes.
Location: The hotel is very close to good restaurants, bars and attractions. The "hop on hop off" bus leaves from outside the door. Taxis are available outside.
This hotel is in a very convenient location. We found it easy to park in a secure local carpark which had a discount for Jurys Hotel guests. Very nice indeed.
