San Pedro Visit

Posted Jun 5, 2015
The visit was fantastic. The staff was very helpful. They called in advance to let me know about nearby construction. That was not an issue at all. I've stayed there before and would recommend Sunbreeze Suites highly.

Great beachfront suite hotel. Close to town and short walk to almost everything you need. Friendly / helpful staff; clean comfortable rooms; good resturant. Reggae band on Wednesday night was great, as is the buffet dinner.

Don't expect too much...

Posted May 11, 2015
Pros: The location, the pool is small but clean
Cons: A lot, the rooms need to be updated, the noise is significant, there's no beach in front of the hotel
Location: Very close to town. If you're busy all day, this is OK to just sleep in at night. If you're expecting a nice hotel, would recommend somewhere else.
Initially wanted to give the hotel 1 star since the night we got there the AC didn't work in the bedroom nor did we have any cold water. When we reported these issues the following day, the front desk was less than courteous. They sent the maintenance team, but when we inquired about a different room, we were told none were available. When I asked what happened if the repairs could not be made, essentially with no rooms available, tough luck. When asked what happened if we left given the state of the room, we were told we would pay the full penalty meaning no money back. Having said that, they did fix the issues by the time we returned from the fishing trip that day. However, other issues are the photos on their webpage must have been photoshopped. The room is old, the hotel backs up to a main street on the back side of the hotel and the noise is significant. It has no beach in front of the hotel. And it is wedged in between two other structures very tightly. The pool is also much smaller than it appeared on the webpage. Having said all of that, my husband wanted to stay in town and it is that. So if you're just there to sleep, it gets a three. If you expect more than that, you will be disappointed.

The pictures are deceiving.

Pros: The suite was nice size
Location: Bars Restaurants
The staff was not responsive. I tried to talk to the manager before arriving because of a special situation and she denied my request without even talking to me. Loud Music all the time. It is a very basic hotel, not what I was expecting. The lack of beach is an issue.

Pros: We were walking distance to everything and everyplace the dive shop was just out side the resort to your left as you walk out to the water, there was
Location: Not much to do on a small island except to visit the small flea market, eat, drink and lay out in the sun..and of course dive and snorkle
The staff was very friendly, maid service was awesome anytime we need something they were right there..

Suites near the center of San Pedro

Posted Apr 6, 2015
First, don't confuse the Sunbreeze Hotel and the Sunbreeze Suites. Same owner, but they are not located together. The suites are N of the center of town and just S of the Phoenix. Recent construction, well maintained, and comfortable. We had a one-bedroom unit with a lovely balcony and an ocean view. We enjoyed eating at the restaurant. Good food, reasonable prices. However, we found the personal services a bit lacking. My wife arrived in Belize with a broken foot. We asked for a second small plastic table for the balcony to be used as a footstool. They refused to accommodate the need. I asked for a couple plastic cups at the bar one afternoon (for a picnic), but I was told to go buy them at the store.

Excellent Staff

This is not a 5 star hotel but it was adequate for our needs. The rooms were clean as well as the grounds. The hotel staff was outstanding. They bent over backwards to accommodate our requests and needs.

Currency Quick-change

Posted Mar 12, 2015 on Hotels
The accomodations were excellent and comfortable. The Front Desk Clerk was not helpful. At checkout I was charged B$10.00 for a 2 minute ride in an electric cart from the airport. I tried to pay in Belize money but was told "we have no change" and was asked to use US$. Also, she failed to return my blank credit charge slip.

Nice hotel close to town and restaurants

What an amazing trip was there with a group of family and friends. We didn't all stay at the same place but we were close enough that we could all get together. We all enjoyed our trip.
