Pet friendly, nearby W Yellowstone park entrance

Posted Sep 30, 2014
This is a nice clean hotel, very pet friendly and also very close to the west entrance of Yellowstone Park. You can dine at the hotel restaurant or walk to many other options. Quaint and clean and the beds were comfy.

Could have been a good experience, but wasn't.

Pros: The location and proximity to the park and shopping.
Cons: The staff needs to be trained better, and the rooms need updating.
Location: Plenty of shopping and dining nearby as you are right on the main strip of town. Direct entry into YellowStone Park just up the road.
My husband and I were just passing through on our way home from Jackson Hole, WY. We decided to go through YellowStone for fun! We booked a room on Expedia about 3 weeks in advance, and were charged by Expedia at that time. When we checked in things seemed fine. Until the desk clerk had to call housekeeping to check our room and as we overheard the conversation "hopefully they didn't mess it up too bad, can you go straighten it." Hopefully WHO didnt mess it up? Are you telling me it wasn't cleaned? Or was someone in there after it was cleaned?! My husband just said we would check it out before asking to be switched. So we get to the room and its okay. Doesnt live up to the pictures online and reminds me of a cheap motel. We decide to stay. One hour later, someone from the front desk called and it turns out they checked us in under the wrong name (even though they had our drivers license and credit card!). They wanted us to leave the room and let the right people in but we refused since it was the same style of room. They let us stay, but maybe we should have moved because later that night there were some loud occupants near by. The next day, my husband checks us out under OUR NAME and they say everything was ok and they figured it out. Everything was NOT ok. We get home and check our credit card statement and the hotel has charges us for the room AGAIN. I have tried to reach a manager a couple of times over the last two days, and have not received a call back.

Comfy and convenient

Posted Sep 19, 2014
Pros: Over all, a pleasant experience.
Location: Very convenient to the West gate of Yellowstone National Park.
Given that it is not a high end hotel, it was comfortable, clean, and conveniently located. Nice bar and restaurant attached.

Nice, Close to Yellowstone Park

Posted Sep 17, 2014
Pros: The location was wonderful, its close to YS Park entrance. At the end of town which is a bit quieter
Cons: The Restaurant, Slow service, small menu. For the price of the room, continental breakfast should be included.
Location: Great location, walking distance to everything
The hotel is big and nice. We were in a room on the bottom floor next to the pool so it was quieter, except when people lock there cars and the horn toots right outside the window. The restaurant was small, so was the menu. There is no free continental breakfast. We ate at the 3 Bears restaurant the next block over, its in walking distance. Yellow Stone Park is amazing, take your binoculars.

A little disappointing...

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: In a good location and within walking distance to town.
Cons: Prioritize customer needs and stop dropping the ball.
Location: Close to the Grizzly museum and all of the shops on the main street. Many places to eat and grocery stores close by as well.
Not what I expected for the price. Older furnishings and the TV couldn't be hooked up to a DVD player to watch movies. Several calls were made and many people came to the room but nothing was resolved. The maintenance man told us all the TVs are crap. Nothing was offered to remedy the situation.

Good location. Nice drive to Old Faithful.

Posted Aug 30, 2014
Pros: Location. Employees.
Cons: Restaurant food could be better and making sure rooms don't smell badly.
Location: Restaurants, shopping, great place to stroll. Centrally located as drives to different parts of Yellowstone weren't more than a 2 hour drive.
Restaurant food not the best, but plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Restaurant closest to hotel, (Three Bears) was excellent. We got a parking ticket ($20) because our front wheels were on the sidewalk (no curbs) so be careful. Unfortunately, one of our rooms had stale cigarette odor and it was a smoke-free hotel. Very disappointing, but hotel staff did a great job in trying to resolve the problem. However, because we booked with Expedia they were limited on what the could do.
