Nice affordable hotelPosted Apr 23, 2014
Pros: The rooms were big it has a lot of history and nice waterfront view.
Cons: The pool could be bigger.
Location: Ideal location walking distance for just about everything beach few minutes away.
I had a good time at the hotel it's worth the money spent nice spacious rooms loved that also close proximity to everything.
Great for location! That's about it.Posted Apr 21, 2014
Cons: Staff, customer service, hot water
Location: Close to everything in town.
Big Game is in the perfect location to explore the town. Close to beaches, bars, and restaurants. People on Bimini are some of the friendliest of any island that I've visited. The staff at Big Game definitely could use some organizational skills. The hotel is just okay but still one of the nicer places to stay in North Bimini. On our 2nd day, we had a maid walk into our room and out onto our balcony alarming us and telling us that we needed to go to the front desk and talk to them and asking why we changed rooms when we were supposed to be in a different room. We had no idea what she was talking about. It took a couple of trips to the front desk to straighten this out as they had entered something wrong into the computer. On a couple of occasions, we inquired about locations of things and just general help and always felt as if we were bothering them. We reserved a golf cart for 11am one morning, waited until 12:30 until it actually arrived. We had hot water in our room on the first day and then never had it again for the remaining 3 days. We were told by the front desk to just let it run for a while with no other explanation. This didn't work. Rooms are adjoining and although the walls are concrete, you can hear EVERYTHING that your neighbors are doing so be prepared to hear entire conversations and tv shows from the next room. Also, our neighbors were smokers so there were a few times that our room smelled heavily of smoke.

Bimini is the Bomb!Posted Feb 11, 2014
Pros: the location, the bull sharks, the whole small island experience.Good food at the restaurant.
Cons: fix the lock on the bathroom window
Location: Location was great- Joe's Conch shack - best conch salad- about a mile's walk through town. Very friendly islanders. Great snorkeling.
Big Game Resort was wonderful. Excellent location- very friendly and accommodating reception desk staff, dock master and all the other employees we encountered. We had a "cottage' with 2 queen beds that was right in front of our dock slip. Lots of amenities in the room. Small shop owners very friendly. World Resort Casino- great food. Can't wait to return!

GoodPosted Jan 9, 2014
Pros: The big room
Cons: no hot water at night - take your shower the morning :) good tips to know. And unfortunately out neighbors were very noisy.
Location: If you cross the street outside the hotel, there is an amazing white-sand beach completely empty :)
Overall good. Nice complex not too big. It cost 7$ the way airport/hotel including boat + taxi so it's very easy to access

Good location, not good amenities!!Posted Oct 22, 2013
Cons: Customer service and communication with travel agencies that advertise and sell the nights so that reservations are confirmed.
Location: beach is right across the street, Best Conch salad is around the corner.
First of all, upon my arrival to the hotel, they did not have my reservation on their system. Reservation that was paid close to 2 weeks prior to my arrival. The hotel amenities are outdated, the bathrooms have the sink with the wood chipped. It was hot at night, the air conditioner was not cooling. On the second day they told me I was for check out , when my reservation was for two nights. The food at the hotel restaurant is good but very expensive. The pool was always empty because it looked dirty. Upon check out they wanted me to pay for my stay again!! I had to spend close to an hour for them to fix the problem. The stay was just not what I expected and customer service is not the bet.

The Authentique Bimini ExperiencePosted Oct 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
I spent 3 nights in Bimini: two nights in Big Game Club Resort and the third one in other bigger, isolated and supposedly better hotel. Well, I would only recommend Big Game Club as the comfort of the hotel is excellent and it's located in Alice Town where you can interact with native people and enjoy this natural paradise of Bimini Island.

Great place to kick back and relax!Posted Sep 28, 2013
Pros: Boat rentals with captain and water sport gear is on-site. Fantastic and convenient!
Cons: Service could be a bit quicker in the restaurant, but you ARE on island time!
Location: Great spots to snorkel/dive in/around Bimini & Cat Cays, shelling, ample lobster/fish, feed the rays, lunch at Bu's Bar (N. Cat), waters are the best!
If you are looking for a laid back, casual atmosphere, this is your spot. Close to bars and restaurants, so no golf cart needed, unless you care to explore or don't want to walk. The people of Bimini are very kind and friendly, and quick to help with anything you need. This is especially true of the staff at Big Game! The hotel itself is reflective of the island and its people, as opposed to Bimini Bay, which is lovely to stay at, but lacks any local flavor. Good food, ample ice, convenient dockage, comfortable and well-cooled rooms. Service was terrific all-around. There is a basic boater's clothing shop that also sells bait, customs office, and liquor/beverage store on-site. We got stranded on the island an extra day due to plane mechanical problems. When we returned to Big Game, the staff greeted us warmly, and put us back in our same room. We encountered Captain Benjamin who had taken us out the two previous days to hit my favorite spots on the water. He was shocked to see us, and immediately invited us to join him, Bertrand and Dominique (owners of BiminiQuebec boat and equip. rentals), and Frank (shark dive encounters) for dinner on the grill, including the lobster, snapper, and other fresh fish they caught that day. Who does that these days?! Truly amazing, and reflective of the best of Bimini's spirit of hospitality.

Great For Travelers Who Like It RealPosted Mar 30, 2013
If you are a traveler who likes keeping it real, you will enjoy the resort, especially its superb restaurant overlooking the marina. If you are the full-service Sandals type who likes controlled adventure, Bimini as a whole is not for you. The only challenge we had was getting a reliable answer on where to snorkel.

Budget HotelPosted Feb 23, 2013
For those looking for a budget hotel, this will suffice. It is conveniently located, has an ok restaurant/bar, though the accomodations are generally in line with a 1970's style Motel 6. Clean and friendly enough, but just set your expectations accordingly. Kind and helpful staff. Bar is quite slow, albeit it usually friendly, with service.
