What used to be a nice resortPosted Jul 30, 2015
Pros: Accomodating staff. Wonderful beds. Nice view of the marsh.
Cons: Construction trash removed daily.
Location: Fort Frederica nearby. Easy drive to the beach.
Sea Palms is in the middle of renovations. Construction crews should be more aware of cleaning up their materials, tossing garbage away, etc. Painting crews starting at 7:30 a.m. with the "beeping" of their lifts could wait a bit to allow vacationers to sleep in. The room was spacious. wonderful beds. Will be a nice resort.... in the future.

Nice hotel for family eventPosted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: We had 5 rooms and arrived early. Desk staff was very accommodating to get us into our rooms quickly and honored our request to keep them together.
Cons: Housekeeping should be better about returning to rooms when occupied. Double rooms have double (NOT QUEEN) beds. Rooms can certainly hold two queen
really enjoyed Sea Palms. Casual place to gather with family. The property is clearly undergoing some renovation and updating and is perfect for a budget conscious family. New fitness facilities and an excellent restaurant on site.

needs updatingPosted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: Good location, price ok. nice view over marsh
Cons: bathroom needs updating and buildings need soundproofing
Location: close to shopping, restaurants
this location is good and the restaurant and pool area are nice. However -- the rooms need updating and their needs to be soundproofing added. When the folks above us walked-- it was loud and their balcony slider was very noisy.

Tired hotel in need of updating.Posted Jul 12, 2015
Cons: Total upgrade of all rooms.
I was disappointed that the hotel was aged, and our room looked like it had not been upgraded since the 1980's. There was black mold around a ceiling diffuser in the bathroom. There was a stack of old lumber outside our deck and the view of the marsh was blocked by overgrown vegetation. Curtains were dirty.

Nice location but outdatedPosted Jun 17, 2015
The room was large but needs updates. It was not very clean. The lighting in the parking lot and up the stairwells to the rooms was very dim. I was not comfortable leaving my room at night alone. The restaurant was pretty good. They have redecorated the lobby and bar.

Good hotel. On golf course and resort.Posted May 18, 2015
Pros: Size of room was larger than expected. Enjoyed having the extra space. View off deck were great.
Cons: get rid of the cheap, coffee maker, plastic cups, give plenty of silverware, upgrade/repair broken furniture and upgrade sleeper sofa mattresses.
This is a really good hotel with nice staff. It was clean and they got us what we needed. We stayed in a suite with deck off the back and that was great and the views were great. The room is older and need minor maintenance (mostly cosmetic). They could do a lot better on the cheap coffee maker, glasses, silverware etc, however that wasn't a major concern. There was a problem with the pull out sofa but we told them about it and said they were going to fix it (it happened late our last night so we did n't bother calling late). But overall we all enjoyed staying here and wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the facilities more. We used points to book the room so we didn't have to pay out of pocket but it was pricey.

Comfortable and quietPosted May 11, 2015
Pros: The location is very convenient and private.
My stay was wonderful. I booked the hotel last minute and was able to check in immediately. I got a room with two double beds; both were very comfortable. The room was clean and had an amazing view. We could see the marsh and a beautiful sunrise. I would certainly stay here again!

Wifi never workedPosted Apr 30, 2015
Called office several times and inquired about status. They said it was being worked on. Internet Service is mandatory in any of my stays to conduct business. When I awoke the next morning the tv / Comcast was out as well. The tv came online sometime after 6:30. However, the wifi never came online.

Very disappointedPosted Apr 29, 2015
I reserved a room at the Sea Palms Resort for my husband and I, for an overnight weekend getaway to the beach. The King and Prince Resort was sold out, so I chose Sea Palms. Wow, were we disappointed. It's obvious the hotel is old, and I can tell some renovations have been done, so that wasn't a big deal. However, as soon as we walked into our room that was nearly twice the rate of a "lesser" motel, I noticed stains on the carpet. I had accepted a room with 2 queen beds instead of 1 king (at least that's what my reservation promised), but our room had two double beds. I told the woman checking me out that I had reserved two queens and she cut me off with "yeah, they're doubles" like it wasn't a big deal. So, why advertise that you're reserving customers queen beds when they're actually doubles? They're not the same. Other than that, the rest of the room was very average, nowhere near worth the price we paid. The shower head was dirty and needed replacing, our wonderful "view" was of some bushes and leftover plywood from some renovations, the vending machine in our building wouldn't accept coins or dollars, and the walls/floors were paper-thin. I would never have accepted a first floor room at this hotel if I had known how loud it would be. Overall, I was very unimpressed and would not stay here again.
