Great beach, pool, lobby, breakfast. Terrible room

The great amenities come at the cost of a really crappy room situation. Awful beds, sheets, towels, bathroom. But on the flip side, every 'shared' amenity was fantastic. So, if you're not into a fancy room this is good bang for buck.

Perfect Getaway!

A week of well deserved rest and relaxation. The hotel and its staff were great! Great views and plenty to do or not do. :) Thank you NYX hotel for all of the great memories!

No window at this resort hotel

Couldn't believe that the room has no window. This damp room is very slippery because of the humidity. The room is very dark and the towels, only gave me two bath towels and one hand towel, were raggedly dirty colored and didn't look like it's fresh. You can get better deal than this hotel, I am sure. Not recommend.

Beautiful beach.

Pros: The beach.
Cons: Staff speak better English. Accept credit cards in all areas of the hotel, especially the dining areas and when making excursion trips.
Location: Be more helpful to quests by being able to answer their questions.
The staff was not very helpful. The only staff member that spoke understandable English was a waiter in the beach dining area. The room we had was not accessible by an elevator, only by descending a number of steps and exiting by climbing the same number of steps carrying our own luggage because no one was available when we checked in, and was so late responding to our call that we had to carry our own luggage in order to check out on time. I could not use my credit card in any area of the hotel except to check in and in the beach dining area..

Rooms are located inconveniently... not very nice pool, no privacy from balcony. If you are lucky enough to get a room with a view, you won't be able to sit on that balcony and see it. Staff at front desk was not very professional. Bathrooms in your room are not very nice... whole place needs updating especially for what they charge.

Good location near plazas and restaurants and great eastern exposure beach Bkfast incl. good balconies at beach - helpful staff Bad - for stairs, Elevator only in main bldg - 5 floors in bldgs closest to beach with stairs - for stiff beds and pillows - taxi 3500 peso to airport

Pros: Beach and location
The hotel was nice for a budget minded traveler who doesnt want all inclusive. Great location, very nice beach and pool. The room was just what I wanted, comfortable and no unpleasant surprises. I spent a little more to get the standard room, just above the "basic" option. The bathroom was nice. I liked the spacious shower. Very nice lobby. Contrary to what I read, there IS a working elevator. The jacuzzi next to the pool was not working during my stay unfortunately. If you are looking for a nice hotel with good mix of crowd (not too old, not too young and partiers either), this is a good option. The location is very close to La Isla Mall, and of course the busses run every minute to take you other places as well.

Pros: right on the beach
Cons: it looked like they were making improvements
Location: a few shops near by. On bus route.
We stayed only one night. We ate breakfast, and then we checked out.

Nice but too many steps up and down

Pillows and beds uncomfortable. Too many steps. They were doing some construction. Very noise. Staff not very helpful I will not stay in this hotel ever again.

Affordable beachfront hotel

Great price for this hotel considering it's right on the beachfront. Great beach set up with a pool, bar/restaurant, cabanas and chairs. Nice enough for a couple of nights but not pretentious like done of the other surrounding hotels. Lobby decor is very cute and boutique like, but theme isn't consistent across hotel and room decor could be updated so everything matches. Rooms are ok, nothing fancy. Don't stay here if you have leg issues or problems with stairs-there's lots of them.
