Close to where I needed to be.

The hotel was convenient and the cost was good. The desk person was helpful, but sort of seemed uninterested in helping people. The "Spa" was non-functional. The "Continental Breakfast" was underwhelming. The decor looked dated, but it was clean. Room had a slightly funky smell.

You get what you pay for

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: A lot
Location: There is a lot to do in Newport, we were there for a wedding, but were able to fit in the Saturday market beforehand.
Our room was clean, but we had no air movement, which made sleeping almost impossible. No A/C, no fan, no breeze from the small screenless window. The "continental breakfast" was coffee and a muffin. The staff were nice and friendly and in talking with them we found out why things are not being repaired or replaced is because the owners don't want to put any money back it. There is also a sweaty gym sock smell in the hallways.

Throw this catch back.

Pros: On the plus side, the sheets were clean, the staff was nice, and there were free movies to watch.
Cons: This entire hotel needs to be updated. Carpet needs to be replaced to get rid of smells, and bed toppers need to be added to soften up hard beds.
This hotel was a major disappointment. The carpets in the hall and especially the elevator were filthy and in bad repair. An overpowering spray was used inside to cover up the bad smell. The carpet in the room was "crunchy" (no other words to describe it--like they were cleaned but the soap was left in it). The bathroom stank of urine. There was no air system and the room was very hot, even with the window fully open. We got very little sleep from being way too hot. The pop machine was empty.

Nice place, but lots of false advertising

Posted Jun 17, 2014
Pros: The staff was great, but that was all.
Cons: Better tv, internet, cable!
Room nice, but bed hard as rock, room not cleaned we'll, house keeping left room door open a few times. There add said hot tub room but when there Thay did not have one. They say they have rooms with fire place they did have, but you could not use them at all. Vending machines did not work, or where empty, the hole time we where their. And that was for five days. The time we where in the room internet worked spotty , TV had 12 Chanel's and some of thouse did not have sound.

Lacking amentities, fowl smelling, gummy carpet

Posted May 27, 2014
Pros: location
Cons: Carpet. Mattress. Hot Tub. TV. Coffee.
When you enter the room there was a stinky sock smell which got worse when one decided to take their socks off and experience the matted and sticky carpet. The hot tub was broken and there was no coffee in the building! Bright side, the location and price were cheap. You definitely get what you pay for.

dont stay there regardless of the price

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: Absolutely nothing
Cons: cleanliness, continental breakfast
Location: The Oregon Coast Aquarium was fun. So was our trip to Rogue Brewery
The room was dirty. The linens were not changed from the previous guest. The sofa had food on the arm. I was able to get it off with a washcloth. The lights did not work over the table. The continental breakfast was supposed to be open at 7:00am and she did not open it until 9:00am. It also consisted of coffee and a packaged danish - nothing else. No juice, milk or hot chocolate for the children. The lady at the front desk was rude and spent more time walking her dog than working.

Inn at Yaquina bay

Posted Mar 29, 2014
Nightmare experience ... Hotel listed fireplace in all rooms, spa/jacuzzi and exercise room plus continental breakfast. Also listed was views of bay from balconys. No fireplaces in any room. Jacuzzi was broken and has been out of service since at least September of 2013. If you bring binoculars you might be able to see a view of the bay but that would only be from a few of the rooms. The continental breakfast consisted of a muffin. The rooms smelt and the sheets on the beds had holes in them. Complimentary laundry services meant you need to put quarters in their machines. If you were not able to check in by 7pm that day then you needed to contact the front desk staff ahead of time to arrange a way to get keys to your room. No dvd players in rooms only vhs players. There was cable but it was the most basic package so no selection if you wanted to relax and watch a movie or watch tv. You could rent vhs tapes downstairs for 3.00 each and they were all old 80's and 90's movies. The towels were scratchy and thin. The refrigerator made loud noises all night. Front desk called our room very early in the morning due to being confused about our check out date. The exercise room was locked before the 7:30pm listed time on the door and it consisted of 1 bike and 1 eliptical and both pieces of equipment were very old. We tried to get a refund so we did not have to stay at hotel but they would not allow that even though there were so many things they falsely advertised about.

It's close to the aquarium and bayfront

Posted Mar 25, 2014
It was close to the aquarium and other things which is a plus
