Many of Somerset’s key attractions are within easy driving distance of Chard, so it is a popular place to stay or visit on a day trip. Barrington Court and Dinosaur Land are amongst the popular places to visit. If time permits, be sure to also visit Philpot Museum and the Lyme Regis Beach.

See Somerset favourites, the Somerset County Cricket Club, do battle in the nearby County Cricket Ground, Taunton. On game days follow the river of white and maroon, to the stadium, then after the final whistle blows, join local cricket lovers in the nearby pubs for a few post-game beers.
