pros - walking distance to everything
cons - bedding needs upgrade and TV, coffee machine would be nice, charging for a safe in a four star hotel makes it seem more like a two star....I travel lots and it was the first time in a four star to get penny pinched on a safe....put the batteries in and maintain it.

The location is very good and the property was renovated in modern style. Looks great.
The price is very competitive BUT a 4 star hotel that does not have amenities....
The bath soap (only 1) is the size of a chewing gum.
No shampoo or any other amenities.
Its a pity, the hotel could easily deserve a 5 rate.

This hotel was just OK. Some strange things...for example, the bathroom had a shower and toilet, but no sink. The sink was right beside the bed. The hotel room was extremely noisy from next door and also outside. But the beds were EXTREMELY comfortable...so with a set of ear plugs in, I slept like baby.

"perfect location on La Rambla and Plaza Cataluna."
the hotel is on a great location, and the front desk was easy to check in. It was early, around 11am, but we could get our room right away. Unfortunately it had no view, so if you want to see something else than a wall from the next building, do not go into room 414 or 415. I assume the first, second and third floor have the same wall view.
Our friends had 409, which was perfect. Our room could get an update with USB plugins and a cleaner shower. The king size bed was very comfy, also 2 single bed where in the room, enough space for a family. But be aware of the AC, the room is too big to handle this little vent. Need to keep it running throughout the day to have a pleasant temperature for the nigh, especially in summertime. But allover it was good a great hotel and we would go back - to another room.

Excellent hotel in an excellent location. Staff were so helpful and polite. We had a problem with the safe in our room and is was dealt with immediately.
There was a very good selection at breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel is in an amazing location off La Ramblas. However we were in a room opposite the lift and it was very noisy. Walls were paper thin so didn't sleep brilliantly. Rooms were clean. Hotel staff gave us some bad directions.

Barcelona's Old Town, the Ciutat Vella takes in the Barri Gòtic and the world-famous promenade of Las Ramblas. The former is the city's medieval core, a maze of atmospheric alleyways clustered around the splendid Gothic Cathedral. Quirky specialist shops and characterful bars and eateries abound. Don't miss the Museu Picasso and the Museu d'Història de la Ciutat, as much for their palatial settings as their content.
