Hi Kendra! Thank you for the kind words! :) Yep, the bottom of the lake is muddy, but the shore shouldn't be. I don't list the property as having a beach in the amenities, but folks such as yourself, enjoy swimming in the lake non the less! With only 4 adults and 3 children in your party, the 2 king beds, 2 queen beds, and the pull out queen size sofa in the loft, should have worked great for y'all.......plenty of sleep options! I double checked the site, and the bed accommodations are listed correctly. The jets are adjustable by only selecting the Jet 1 prompt, and hitting it only once. In regards to the water line, I can't fill it to the rim, as I never know how many folks will be using it at a time. Once folks get into the hot tub, the water naturally raises, so that may have been what you were perceiving as not a sufficient water level. I do appreciate the heads up though, and I'll mention that to my care taker just to confirm. Please come back anytime! Best, Ada Hoyt

Regarding the water level: Kerr Lake is a reservoir that feeds Lake Gaston, and next week the water could be too high! As a side note, we have never had an issue with boats not being able to dock at either dock, so folks shouldn't be concerned. Please come back any time and thank you for sharing our home! Hi Isaac! Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at our home and for the kind words! We are very glad you enjoyed your stay! I am surprised the cleaning crew missed leaving those few items out for you, as they do for all our rental guests. If you had messaged me, I would have given you the code to open the supply closet and select the items you needed. Also, one of the cleaning folks lives very close and they would have been happy to come by and place the items for you. At any rate, I appreciate the heads up and will definitely remind the cleaning crew. Yes, my care taker had to do some work on the path to the docks due to all the rain we have had lately. He came and did just that the first morning you were there, so I am glad you weren't inconvenienced in any way. I am surprised to hear the internet was slow. My husband and I were there for 4 months (February through May). We had no problem with the speed of service. I was working many days remotely and had no issue. I will give Hughes Net a call just to see if there may have been any underlying issues the week of your stay. When you ride by boat along the shoreline, our docks are closer to the cabin than most. We have had many parents/grandparents stay in our home thus far, and have had no issue. I would need to review our message thread to see if you questioned the length of the walk to the dock to see if you shared concerns negotiating the distance for your parents. Hi Angel! So glad you enjoyed our home!! I will respond to your few points: There is WiFi at the cabin, and haven't had any issues with it this summer, but will certainly check on that. The password is on the counter, as well as on the site, so if you connected to it, you should have been good to go! We have had many seniors there over the last 15 years, including my 85 year old mama. She stayed in the master bedroom on the main floor with the bath in the adjoining room. There are stairs there, and they are pictured and listed on the VRBO site. Yep, there are woods on both sides of the cabin and yep, it is summer, so there may be a snake or two! I hope I never see one though! LOL Please come back! Ada Hoyt

Hi Todd! Thank you for the kind words. I am surprised regarding the internet reception. We were there for three months and left on May 8 and it was working great. Thank you for letting me know, as it was newly installed in March. I can only guess that since it worked perfectly the three months we were there, that the position of the satellite must have been compromised. We even have a booster to maximize the strength, I will definitely call them on Monday to come out and have a look. And again, thanks for the heads up! I will comment below, as I am surprised by this review. *Regarding white chairs: 6" behind the white chairs there are 4 metal chairs with black cushion fabric. If there was a concern, the chairs could have been easily switched out. **Regarding linens being on the beds: The cleaning lady's name and number is always on the counter, if you wanted her to come remove the sheets. I am also always a phone call away ready to help. I believe having beds already made up would have been appreciated by most folks. **Regarding the number of dishes: The cabin is designed for 8, so there are 8 place settings of dishes. I personally have never rented a home with several sets of dishes, so that the dishwasher does not have to be used daily. **Beds not being comfortable: The two king mattresses were 3 months old when you stayed at the cabin. They are very good quality: Serta - Wynnfield. My husband and I sleep on one of the kings 5 months a year and find it extremely comfortable and my family comes quite often from out of town and sleeps on the other mattresses. As you know, not all folks like the same mattress. The cabin was rented for the entire summer, without incident. **Kids cups: Correct, there are no kid cups. I would not be able to anticipate individual parents concept of what their children should drink from. Parents bring children's cups, as we do for our grand children when we rent. Did you notice the numerous movies and lounge chairs for children? I feel the cabin is very child friendly. **Space for towels to hang: There is at least 4 places for towels to hang in each bath, so I am unclear as to this concern. *Stairwell frames: Folks actually have positive comments on the family pics. This is our home that we share, so they will always be in the hallway. With our grand children we have not found a problem. **Exterior light switch: There are 4 switches only in that room, but I am happy **Cell service: Although for years a signal could be found in front of the fireplace, Verizon has now moved the signal per Exceed. Cell service is not listed on the site as an amenity, so folks will know there is none. I have provided a landline for any calls that need to be made and folks probably go into town almost daily for various reasons and check their phones then, if necessary. The perfect place to unwind, unplug and enjoy the beauty of the lake and the cabin itself! Regards, Ada Hoyt
