Pros: location, room comfort, cost
Cons: Parking near the room
Location: It's right next to the rafting, shopping, and park tours pick up right outside the hotel
Clean, quiet, close to our activities. Good location, very comfortable room.

A hotel made for cruise lines.Posted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: The room was clean.
Location: There are a lot of gift shops and a couple of cafes, and a Subway. There are afew places that offer tours of different sorts. There are no restaurants
Though clean, the Rooms are too far away from the main lodge and you have to park elsewhere and take a shuttle to get to your room and then wait for the shuttle if you want to go up to the main lodge. First night at their onsite restaurant, the fried fish came totally uncooked and had to be sent back. Next day the clean coffee cups had lipstick on the rim. There really is not a restaurant you can walk to so you have no choice but to go there. The hotel seems like a muster station for all the people who come in on cruise busses. It is always crowded and loud. The check out time is 10am, earlier than any other hotel I have been to and the check in time in 4pm. So in actuality you are paying for 18hours, not even a whole day. It was not a relaxing, restful experience.

Nice hotel close to Denali and shops.Posted Aug 2, 2014
Decent restaurants on the property. No wifi in the rooms yet, we were told it is expected for 2015. If you don't have a car expect to use the shuttle service to get around the property.

Terrible vacationPosted Jul 26, 2014
Arrived non then train. Called hotel 3 times and no one could tell me where the bus picked up. Got to hotel and checked in to my room. No microwave no refrigerator. Waited on my luggage. Gave up and went te supper. Asked for seating for 4adults and 3 children. Was told 1 1/2 hour wait. They suggested the pizza place across the road. Next morning went to breakfast at main restruant in lobby. They seated us outside the dining room. Seemed to segregate tables with children. Service was slow. Food was cold. Complained to front desk that there was no blackout curtain in my room. Never did get one before I left. While checking out I am told that because I was not with a group I would have to carry my bags to the train to check. Loaded them on intern al bus without help from the driver. Put them in the lobby to go eat breakfast. Was told I had to move them to baggage storage. Had to load them on the bus to take them to train station. Again no help from anyone. All in all this place sucked. Overpriced and very poor set Vice

Bare bones roomPosted Jul 24, 2014
No closets , not even a hook to hang your clothes. Paper thin walls. Basic bathroom, no counters, 1 small poorly lit mirror over a 2x2 counter that includes the sink. No decor in room, felt like barracks. Staff was rude. Also, wanted to charge me $20 extra for 3rd person in room.

Good hotel, but WiFi only at main lobbyPosted Jul 21, 2014
The location was very good and convenient for Densli NP and shops/restaurants. Only small issue was that WiFi was not available at the guest room.

Great hotel...nice bar and restaurantPosted Jul 20, 2014
This is a fine hotel...with good facilities located only about 10 minutes north of the Park entrance. Easy nice drive. Lots of restaurants and shops right across the street. I would stay there again.

Great location! The baggage service from the Alaska Railroad to the hotel and the shuttle bus was a convenience we hadn't expected. The room with the additional space of a separate living room was also unexpected. We loved being close to the river. We also enjoyed the variety of restaurants and shops across the highway which was easy to cross by the traffic light. For those who can hike, there's a lovely bike path and trail that goes to the park, about a thirty minute walk away.

Denali Park HotelPosted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Very comfortable and clean. They provide transportation via shuttle most anywhere you want to go and that is included in the price.
Cons: It would be nice if breakfast was included for the price.
Location: Lots to do in the area. River rafting, shows, shopping, Denali flightseeing, widerness adventures and hiking. Most people take the 8 hour bus tour.
Beautiful hotel with comfortable bed and pillows. Quiet setting. Seems to be very overpriced for one night. Does not include breakfast. In all fairness--availability is limited for hotels in the summer and they need to make money then because all hotels are closed from early Fall and through the winter.

Tourist trapPosted Jul 8, 2014
Cons: Make sure the rooms are ready on time and provide a free shuttle to and from Denali national park.
Location: Denali national park
We checked into our room at 4:00pm (this is the check in time) and the room was still not ready in fact none of the rooms on that floor were ready. It appeared that no one was working to get the rooms cleaned. Instead of apologizing the person at the front desk blamed the other staff for checking us into the room when in fact we were there after 4:00 and the rooms should have been ready! If you are looking for a tourist trap this is the place for you and expect to open your wallet to pay big money for anything you are hoping to purchase.
