Reasonable price for a real hotel near zurich.Posted May 18, 2014
After spending days looking through 180$ a night "hotels" in the zurich city centre that still required you to share a bathroom with the entire floor, I thought outside the box. This hotel, which comes complete with a well appointed breakfast buffet, comfortable and spacious room (with your own private bathroom!), and easy access to the train and tram stops was the perfect find. You can be downtown in less than 20 minutes, and pay a reasonable price for your stay. The pool is outdoor and connected to a waterfall and water garden, so the water was a bit on the 'green' side. I'm not sure if this is a Swiss thing, but enough that I didn't want to go for a swim (but why would you want to go swimming when you have zurich to discover??). Rooms are clean and hotel is well maintained. Staff was helpful (brought me some breakfast even though the buffet opened later than when I needed to leave to catch my plane). Great experience all in all. Last day was on the warmer side, and there is no air conditioning, so ah trouble sleeping that night. May not be a great stay when the weather is on the hot side.

Hotel with a gym and sauna?Posted Dec 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great value, as the hotel facilities were fantastic- breakfast, use of the gym and WiFi were all included. There is a sauna, spa and restaurant on site, a train station 7 mins walk away, and the staff are friendly and helpful (and speak excellent English). Really recommend it.

Not for leisure or English speaking guests!Posted Dec 3, 2013
Although not unoleasant in itself, it immediately gave the impression of a business hotel. Staff were ok, but were not really outgoing. We had the honeymoon suite which was ok, but no english instructions and no english tv channels. This is not a hotel for people who are not able to speak german. The leisure facilities had absolutely no instructions for the english visitor and the reception staff were less than helpful in giving any meaningful information. Cleanliness was good in fairness and the staff were polite, but this is not an english language friendly hotel.

Excellent value so close to ZurichPosted Oct 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
Zurich is an expensive place, but we found this hotel to be very good value for money - and it seems to me to be better than most 3-star places in terms of quality and facilities. Public transport options (bus/train/tram) into the city, and the direct tram to the airport (~25 mins), are very handy. The breakfast and wifi are included, and the breakfast in the hotel restaurant is nicely set up. The restaurant itself is ideal for dinner, which is handy because the location in a semi-industrial area isn't really ideal for alternative dinner spots. The one down-side to the room is that the pillows were really uncomfortable, but this is really a minor point.

Convenient location for a next-day flightPosted Oct 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
We just stopped in for a quick stay before our flight out the next morning, but we had drinks in the restaurant and stopped in for the included breakfast the next morning and everything was on par with all other hotels we stayed at in this range. The hotel had a pretty full parking lot when we arrived but there were still spots available, and everyone was perfectly pleasant while we were there. All in all it was a great rate and only a 6-minute drive from Zurich International. I would have liked to have taken a look at the pool, sauna, etc., but that really wasn't the reason we were in Europe anyway. I'm sure for a business trip that would be a nice perk.

good place to stay near Zurich airportPosted Aug 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was very clean and the staff lovely and accommodating. Did not get a chance to use the spa, as was only there for 1 night. Only negative for me was no air conditioning. It was a little warm for sleeping even with the window open. We walked for about an hour, not that much to do. The town was quiet (however, it was a Sunday night to be fair), but felt very safe and comfortable.

Good value hotelPosted Jun 7, 2013
Pros: The convenience and price made this a great choice for us.
Cons: The king-sized bed was two twin beds attached-with a gap between the beds.
Location: Convenient to the the bus line and very close to the Stettbach train station.
This was a convenient location for visiting family. It is close to 2 bus stops. Even though the hotel is located on a busy thoroughfare, our room was very quiet. The check-in was quick and easy and the staff was very friendly. The free breakfast had a good variety of choices.
