Central to all main attractions

Pros: Everything
Cons: Better coffee makers in room ie Nespresso which are appearing much more in 5 star hotels, the coffee and fake milk wasn't nice
Location: Opposite temple bar for Guinness and Oysters, next to Trinity college and Grafton Street for shopping, two minute walk to the hop on/off bus tour
We booked two rooms and stayed 14.08.14 for three nights, the rooms were both beautiful one a classic room for our teenage daughter and her friend and one a writers room, the bathrooms were both stunning and very spacious, the bedding was fantastic and the writers room (420) had a small balcony overlooking temple bar so lovely if weather permitted to sit and watch the world go by with our own personal pigeon! The staff throughout our stay in all areas were fantastic and the food and drink in the mint bar exceptional and well priced. loved the mojitos! The fresh flowers in the reception area were also stunning and made the area smell beautiful, thank you for making our stay so special and for offering the late check out on our last day, it made our last day much more relaxing. We have two kids, which the max allowed in a room is three. Had to book a second room for three nights which was over a thousand extra. Staff was excellent.

Lovely hotel in the best of locations!

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Cons: Free WiFi in the rooms!
Location: Excellent!!!!
The Westin in Dublin is a lovely hotel in the best location. Within walking distance to Temple Bar, Trinity College, Christ Church, the Hop on Hop Off buses and many excellent shops and restaurants. The best part of the Westin is the excellent staff. Each one was very professional and very friendly! I will stay there again without a doubt! I would suggest having free WiFi in the rooms instead of restricting it to the Lobby.

Great hotel

Posted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: friendly staff spacious, comfortable rooms
Cons: nothing
Location: Next to temple bar and trinity college
Just a great experience... very friendly staff, comfortable, spacious room... plus a great location right next to temple bar and trinity college. We were in town for a wedding and my wife's father cancelled his hotel across town after just one night to stay at The Westin and didn't regret it... Highly recommended.

Great location, Great service, Great food.

Pros: Decor, ambience, staff and location.
Cons: Better window insulation. As our room was at the front of the hotel, the noise levels from revellers exiting the Temple Bar area was quite high.
First class hotel with all amenities. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Food lovely and not too expensive. Could not get a better location.

Nice hotel, but there is NO FREE WIFI in room!

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: The location was fine. The building is nice.
Cons: Nothing is free (or cheap) in this hotel. Drinks cost far above average. No "real" wifi access. Laundry costs a LOT. etc. Not worth it for this hotel.
Location: Outside the hotel was like a construction site. There is no parking, and its one way streets (so its not even worth trying to drive to this hotel).
Its a nice hotel (if you don't need the internet), but my experience here was tainted from the start. When searching hotels I always choose hotels with the free Wifi option (as I work on the net and need regular and consistent access). This hotel shows up in the list as having free wifi - but what it fails to state is that the free wifi is only in the bar (its incredibly expensive in the rooms) and its incredibly bad access at that - its not even worth trying to stay connected in this hotel. I ended up using other local cafes and bars just to check mails etc. This was incredibly inconvenient and negatively affected my work. Cafes, bars, even buses have free wifi these days - so why does this hotel think they should charge ridiculous prices for something that's free everywhere else? This hotel should not show up as having free wifi - it needs to be filtered OUT when choosing the free wifi option.

Great stay! No place better.

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: The staff was incredibly accommodating and the room was comfortable and spotless. The perfect hotel.
Location: Very near Temple Bar and the River Liffey. Plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby.
Unbelievably accommodating. We stayed there for two nights and were absolutely stunned by how wonderful everything was. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, staff that went out of their way to accommodate. We couldn't have been happier. When we had a terrible experience at a neighboring hotel upon our return to Dublin, I immediately went to the Westin. The other hotel had been unresponsive when I rang the doorbell, leaving myself, my wife and our 9 month old daughter on the streets of Temple Bar. The staff at the Westin couldn't have been nicer in allowing us a place to stay while the cleaned a room for us. I can't say enough great things about the Westin Dublin. Easily the best hotel experience I've ever had.
